What games can I play at 120 fps on 120hz monitor with my GTX680?

MW3 has a cap to 91, and BF3 won't cut it to 120 fps. I want to experience the smoothness everyone is talking about...

any game please. ^^

single 1080p monitor 120hz, no 3D.

Bad Company 2? Not being fortunate enough to have the card, I'm not really sure, but it would be worth a shot.

thanks. also your name suits this topic very well... seeing as how I am going for damn smooth gameplay xD

also, is fraps the only program to use to see what fps I am at? it messes up some games for me so I tend to avoid it.

MSI Afterburner does an awesome job at doing that and also monitors temp, gpu usage, mem usage etc

Any older game should do this. Try playing Unreal Tournament 2004 at 120fps. Your hardware is massively overpowered and will play it without a single dropped frame! The experience is very well worth it.

It's available very cheaply now at www.gog.com (DRM-free) and on Steam. Note that the gog.com version seems to have the ut2004.ini file missing. This is an important configuration file and includes settings like vsync. I don't know why they did this and I don't know where the settings are stored on that version.

I think any game with lower settings can achieve 120FPS on a GTX680 and some even on highest settings so it's really up to you to decide what you want.

Hell that game ran way high even on a Radeon Mobility 9800 on max detail

You only need 60fps for smooth gameplay. Anything over that really is a neglible difference.

thats true and aslong as your machine is optimized, Also another factor is when Frames drop from 120 to 90 suddenly it can cause issues too. anything 60+ is good for any game honestly

+1 to this, any source game would work. L4D, HL2, CSS, TF2, DOTA 2 etc.

try Dead Island my FPS in 6870 hits around 100+ FPS at many times without vsync, what more if 680

if you're into NBA then try NBA 2k12. no max limit afaik as I am getting as high as my VGA can.

cant think of more games that go 120 easily, will think of more.

PS. is there a TruMotion tech in Gaming or in PC??

Yes 60 FPS is I think the max the person can see even at adrenaline times.(30 is normal and 60 is like when you fall off a plane or play intense games)

But, I don't know, when watching movies at 120 Hz TruMotion even if the movie itself is 30 FPS, It feels so Damn_Smooth vs watching it on 30 FPS.

Well, then you're just playing other games that aren't that beautiful anyways to achieve 120fps. Sure, play those.. but the games that have very high graphics settings can be turned down to achieve that FPS as well. Why limit yourself?

Very good point, might as well think Battlefield 3's max graphics is low just to play it at 120fps.

Beauty isnt everything, if Your Multiplayer Lags like hell and you know your Internet is up to snuf but your PC isnt the best, Smooth is a Must.

Ive seen awesome players not use the best graphics settings in games and they couldn't but their games ran smooth as hell
