Asus GTX 670 Direct CUII TOP Shows up in retail

Well, the recently reviewed TOP card has appeared in the UK.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=GX-280-AS

It's a fucking arse of a joke. It's priced at £399 (at time of post). In other words, over here that $20 premium W1zzard spoke of in his review is either very wrong or (more likely) OcUK (and likely others to follow) price gouging the shit out of us all.

It's funny how AIC's/AIB's generally dont give us an MSRP for products. The retailers cash in big time.

You can buy vanilla GTX 680's for that price. Is it really worth £400? ($530 before UK 20% tax, about $630 with it.)

Shame on all the major UK stockists of tech

No thanks, but that is a nice price - to beat my current set up i need two (and I want to water cool them for aesthetics - as far as i know, EKWB have no plans for a block for this model .)

Update: Dabs to the rescue..... £350.

I got 2 of the standard Direct CU GTX670's for £325 each from Ebuyer.

Unfortunately they now appear to be no longer listed

£399 for the TOP model is taking the mick a bit. Scan have it on pre order for around £370 but this is still too much IMO.

I did pretty much this only I cancelled too late (only 2 hours but Ebuyer works too damn fast)

I am justifying it because I still have a GTX 285 which is a great card but BF3 is starting to get on my nerves; I feel like I am not playing it just because it doesn't run fast enough for me (Running on low with high textures). Although I can't help thinking there are not enough high end games around to justify it apart from this.

Could be wrong, but today is the fist time it has even been on the egg ... so that means Amazon will have it ever so shortly...

that is why they give him the card for free ... we know he can get 1000's sold ... so you give him one and let the rest follow
