I personally have the Corsair Force GT 120Gb (two actually,) and they practically top out the SATA 6Gb bus. I haven't run into any issues with two of them in RAID-0 so far.

IMO... yes I payed $150. I would pay $170... Like I said, love it and I'll probably RAID a couple later

The Force GT would be a nice SSD to have, but I would compare it first to other SSD's in the same category like the Vertex 3 or Intel 520 or 330, also consider the Vertex 4, Crucial M4, and Samsung 830, and see which is the better deal, any of those should be a nice SSD for your laptop.

In that price range I'd go Crucial M4 or Samsung 830. At the $200 price range though you can get a Plextor M3 Pro, which has a Marvell controller like the M4, but proprietary firmware that speeds up the TRIM process considerably.

That's why the M3 Pro is about the fastest drive overall when you factor in that it's still very fast even when cluttered. Most SSDs don't perform at advertised speeds until TRIMed, and that can be a hurry up and wait scenario time and time again.

It comes down to whether that $50 is more important, or not ever having to wait for your drive to TRIM (takes at least 30-40 min idle time typically) to not be bogged down by much less than advertised speeds.

If you play mp competitively a lot and don't want to have to let your PC idle before jumping into matches to load into the maps as quickly as possibly, the M3 Pro is a good investment.

I had three 60GB Agility 2 drives that I thought were great, but around that time OCZ started playing with different flash and had a whole bunch of trouble. From there I moved to the Corsair Force 3. The GT is reoughly the same thing but slightly fast. I'd say go with the GT.

If they are within the same price range then I would go with the Force GT it is a 25nm Synchronous drive, whereas the Agility 3 is 25nm Asynchronous, but if the price gap is large then just get whichever one you want, the Agility 3 will be a good drive, just not as fast in some ways as the Force GT.

and I'm so happy with it, windows load time is about 13-14 seconds, and program loading takes no time at all
