test with gtx470 + gtx 560... some issue but i can use sli

only prob is that my memory bandwith for the gtx 470 fall down from 320 bit to 256 bit (133 gb/s to 107 Gb/s), and i've lost 200Mb of memory... normally i have 2 gtx 470 but one run really hot when playing...

Can you update driver with 301.10 or 301.24 to have the nvidia
new stuff pls!

I was running the hyper sli mode hoping it would work on that board. With this one I shouldn't have a problem. Wondering if I could run the 570 on top and 580 on the bottom so I can use my black magic shuttle with full hdmi but ill just get her running before I start that science project.

Hey anatolymik, thanks to you I have my cards running in SLI!

Out of the box the Asus 560 DCII OC and the 560 TI don't SLI but now they do and rather nicely!

Hello,

I tried some different Setups:
580 3GB & 570 1.2GB worked like a charme (unfortunately only 1.2 gb of vram is usable)
9800gt & 8600 gt gave me BSOD in every case.

probably i´ll try some other setups next week or so:

GTX 295 & 9800GTX+ 512 or 8800GT 512 or 8800GTS 640 or 8800GTS 320 (yep ... those G80 cards allready were dead both but my hot air gun keeps them away from android hell

)

and maby, if i get my new board, i´ll may try some combinations like:

9800GTX+ 512 & 8800GT 512 & 8800GTS 640 & 8800GTS 320 in 4-way SLI

GTX580 3GB & GTX 480 1.5GB & GTX 570 1.25GB in 3-way SLI

... got some other older cards like 9600gs, 8600gt, 7800gt... but those are just crap so i wont try it with any of those...

(maby i´ll buy some cards just for that (cards like 8800 ultra/gtx, 8800gts 512, gts250, 9800gs, 9800gt, & all this cheap crap) ... just 4 fun ... but i´m not so sure about this right now)

Sill cant get quad it seems that the 3 448's get picked up for tri even without any sli connecters before i can apply the mod

I did but still no go
i tried the 570 in 1 and 2 slots of my rive it still went to 448 tri,i may try the other 3-4 slots today but i have other combos i can try like 2x88gtx 1xgts320 or 512gts plus alot of others.

Above in bold, nVidia used to allow this by default in their drivers anyway, i'm not surprised it worked.

Nice to see the 8800GTX and 8800GTS G80 SLI'd fine though, bummer about the tri-SLI however.

Hey,

1. i just tried 2 more combinations:

9800GTX+ & 8800 GTS 640 ... BSOD ... (swapping not possible)
GTX 480 & GTX 570 (using a Ghetto dual PSU Setup

) :

Worked fine, but the 480 lost Memory, Bandwith ( & alot of other crap)

GTX 480 was at full GPU load, while the 570 was at about 85% GPU load

(normally the 480 is faster than the 570)

(i´ll upload pictures in about 1 week, because at the moment i use really slow umts stick: dl: 1 kbps, ul, 0.1 kbps ... mission impossible!

)

2. i dont have my GTX 295 at the Moment ... i lend it to a friend of mine who sold me the 480
( ... he needed a card because the GTX 680 he ordered has still not arived.

)

3. I bought some broken Cards from Ebay ( GTX 260, 8800GT, 9800GT)
... i think if GTX 295 & GTX 260 works, there´s a chance for GTX 590 & 580 (or 570) (nope... i´ll never buy a 590!)

you needed a hack did not work in nv whql i think it was coolbits i used then.
yeah was wanting tri i have sets of two for alot of cards already

i just went to try 295 with 260 but my 295 is dead,none of the g80's worked with my 98gx2 either
I'll try to get some weird combo to take.

I was able to Fix the 260 and the 8800GT ( 9800GT still not here) but both together gave me low res & crash after enabling SLI ...

I´ll try GTX295 & GTX260 as soon as my friend gets his damn 680 ...

GTX260 & 9800GTX+ could work ... i think i´ll do that tonight

Edit:
I just tried GTX260 & 9800GTX+ : same problem as with 260 and 88gt.

I also tried 9800GTX+ & 8800GT : working great but 8800gt is at full GPU load while the 9800gtx+ is at about 85 % GPU Load

I would test if my internet was a little faster... but downloading the new nvidia driver @ 1.0 kbps (down) would take more than 1 day...
