Thanks but, I'd really like to have the P4 due to it's larger cache. I may have to settle for a Celeron but I am still hoping to find a P4 2.6 400 FSB

are you absolutely sure there is not a bios update available to allow you to use 533Mhz FSB
if you can i have some P4 / 533 CPU's
they are
2.53.8Ghz/512/533 (1 of)
2.8GHz/512/533 (1 of)
apart from that i have only got i what i previously listed
(if i find or come across something more suitable in the 400FSB range i will let you know)

It's less of a BIOS problem and more of a MoBo problem, If I could solder in some wires to accommodate the faster FSB... LOL

Thanks, that is closer to what I want. Is it really eight bucks shipped? Me thinks I could have a necklace made of my 1.6 and throw this in until I find the 2.6 or 2.8 I want...

This is the ultimate CPU for this Mobo, SL7EY. (or anr SL74P)

This is what I'll settle for, since those 2.8's are so rarely found.
The 400Bus P4 2.6 Family.

Oh,OH,OH! Looky what I just found!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-8GHz-P4-Pr...#ht_500wt_1156

Thanks everyone!

Well, I just found my 2.8 400Bus P4 I wanted. I got it for 13.95 on Ebay, should arrive next week!

Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback. I wish i could have found this here, since you all are my heroes!

But, I had to go with the ultimate CPU for this meager little T4160. I should be up and crunching by the end of the month with this CPU that is 1.2GHz faster than the 1.6 that's in there now.

Looks like that 1.6 is gonna become a piece of jewelry.
