Corsair Officially Launches Dominator Platinum DDR3 Memory

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the Dominator Platinum range of DDR3 memory kits, the world’s most technologically-advanced performance memory. The new design adds a customizable light bar to the list of exclusive features, which includes patented DHX cooling, Corsair Link support, and hand-screened, super-overclockable DRAM ICs.

The new Dominator Platinum will be available in dual and quad-channel kits with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities, and frequencies up to 2800MHz. Dominator Platinum DDR3 memory is designed to fully exploit the performance potential of the latest Intel and AMD platforms, including the "Ivy Bridge" 3rd generation Intel Core processor family. All Dominator Platinum kits support Intel's latest XMP 1.3 profiles for easy performance tuning.

The new light bar contains a user-swappable light pipe which lets enthusiasts tailor the downwash lighting color to match their PC lighting and components. Dominator Platinum kits are supplied with a white light pipe, and additional light pipes will be available to purchase in the future.

Dominator Platinum memory also supports full Corsair Link connectivity, allowing customers with Corsair Link to monitor DRAM temperature and other parametric data. This feature, unique to Dominator memory, provides end users with the data they need to tune system cooling and monitoring. Dominator Platinum memory kits also support Corsair AirFlow fans and AirFlow Pro dynamic temperature and activity displays to provide the low temperatures required for stable and reliable overclocks.

“Dominator has been the choice of performance enthusiasts and overclockers since its release six years ago, and Dominator Platinum will continue to dominate the memory market for many more years to come,” said Thi La, VP of the Memory Business Unit at Corsair. “The stunning new industrial design and customizable light bar makes Dominator Platinum even more special and distinctive, while the patented DHX cooling technology and hand-sorted DRAM ICs deliver the performance and overclockability that enthusiasts demand.”

The full line-up of Dominator Platinum DDR3 memory is shown below:

Pricing and Availability

Lol !!! This is a completely usless RAM. Try to match a good CPU cooler with this just for fun. You'll end up with only fake-watercooling kit from ...... Corsair.

This won't change my very nice Kingston HyperX Genesis !

Actually if you look at the size of the PCB compared to the heatsink, these are no taller than a G-Skill Ram Kit, possibly even shorter. So you will have absolutely no problem fitting these under any cooler being sold on the market today.

What are you talking about? The 1866Mhz modules are 250$ for 16GB.

Check out the pic in this thread showing the ram modules in blue light being emitted by the top bar thingy!
http://www.corsair.com/en/memory-by-...4a2666c10.html

At first I didn't like the bar on top. But then I realized that it was a "light bar" and you could change the colors and changed my mind
Pretty expensive though....
