How about the EVGA 4GB 670? I can't find out if it is a 680 PCB or not... I really want to go with a 4GB 670 for longevity, but also want to be able to put it under water...

pick an universal waterblock, it's not like VRMs or VRAM need to be liquid cooled

essentially each is seperate to an extent to exploit both sides but in reality they can be traced back to the same corporation, their just brands, if the card works it works if it dont replace it lol

while i like the ASUS coolers they are huge, but in this situation specs are more meaningful,

670 4GB with a quick OC = 680 with 4gb for alot less, considering BP keeps GPUs for longer then most of us do shes better off getting whats gonna let her play the games she wants now with no compromises while offering good performance down the road. It is a tought decision but in this case, better specs are more meaningful then a better cooler on a card that doesnt get hot lol

For the above reasons and considering that my favorite games are hi-texture ones and I always mod them with higher textures and love increasing draw distances etc... I just changed my order to the Zotac 670 4GB. It's the same price as the CU II TOP and anyway I might always try to overclock it a bit...

I know how disappointed I was when I had tried Skyrim with ugridstoload at 5 and started getting 10 fps.... Same if I use 4xAA I get fps in the teens. I think I'd prefer getting a card which is not factory oc'd but which will have vram to spare for ugrids, high modded textures and the works.

You won't be disappointed, trust me, 2GB just aren't enough for Skyrim.

Good choice!

id clock the card up BP its pretty damn easy to do,

its boost clock is 1006mhz,

id say push the base clock to 1020 or so, and boost clock should jump to around 1150 give or take, im just doing this off the top of my head, but at those clocks the 670 4GB should be exactly the same performance as the 680 4gb.

after all base 680 is 1006mhz i think and boosts to 1058-1137 depending on how good the GPU is,
with the above clocks youll gain a few extra frames and should be rock stable, up to you though eitherway card should serve you well.
