P4 2.4-533 skt478 overclock

Just oc this cpu at 700fsb with 3.15 gigs.
The ddr400 memory downclocked itself to 266mhz as the max on mobo

Dropped in a pci-modem, pci-usb card, pci-firewire and AGP HD4670 DDR3 1 gig video card.

Maybe use it as server or download machine.

wanna test it with a simple benchmark. Any suggestion?

Yep. Futuremark. 2001,03,05,06 and vantage. U cant do 2011 coz u dont have dx11 on your video card. I would personally skip 2001 and do the rest. Do stock benhmarks then overclocked.

Please do share your results. I havent seen a system run these 4 ages!

I had to downclock at 3 gigs for stability but cpu sucks anyway :P Here's the link result.

My 2.4Ghz Celeron will OC to 2.89Ghz before it becomes unstable and at that point I'm pumping a good amount of voltage through it, granted it's not the best motherboard in the world. Is it a Northwood P4?

Nice work. I get sumthin like 6400 in 06 with my p4 prescott @ 3.8ghz on stock volts with an agp 3850. Im gona overclock the shit out of it and try and crack 7000 one day.

Nah not yet mate. I only just got my new radiator 4 this system and now i gotta get a pump and reservoir. Probably be a while yet. I was playn mass effect on it latley all max out and the minimum frame rate was about 20. Gota find more old school games 4 it.

I had a Celeron D 320 that could hit 3.6GHz and remain stable. The overclock was required to have Vista run better :P Also noticed a 6 FPS increase in CnC3.
