I-O Data Intros HDPC-UT Series USB 3.0 Portable HDDs with Dual-Tone Bodies

I-O Data Japan released its new HDPC-UT series portable HDDs. The drives are characterized by dual-tone bodies and USB 3.0 interface. Available in 500 GB (HDPC-UT500) and 1 TB (HDPC-UT1.0), the drives are available in two color schemes: Red + Brown and White + Silvery Gray. The drives are bus-powered, requiring just one cable, are backwards-compatible with USB 2.0, and compatible with most TVs in the market that support USB mass-storage standard. The drives include installers for Mach Copy software, which works to speed up file-transfers. Measuring 75 x 112 x 14 mm (WxDxH), the drives weigh about 160 g. The 500 GB models are priced at 10,500 JPY (US $132), while the 1 TB models go for 15,015 JPY (US $188).
