The over-inflated savings on these sites always amuses me

Spotted this on SD a few hours ago, not a bad deal but the Vertex 3 was $70 shipped from Newegg not too long ago. The ONLY problem I can see with this deal is that 1Sale has been known to take forever to process and ship their goods. Some people may not be able to do their rebates in time (I think it's 20 or 21 days), or do them and find out a few days later that the drive is defective (not uncommon with OCZ drives) but cannot RMA through 1Sale due to a missing UPC code.

Edit: Yep, rebate says that the documents must be postmarked within 21 days of purchase date. If 1Sale takes over a week to ship and uses snail mail, that'll be cutting it very close to 21 days. Even if you do make it in time, you might not have sufficient time to test the SSD.

Doom slaying much? OCZ drives don't fail that often at all. Unless of course your talking about the batch that had bad firmware and they fixed or pod to have your drive shipped to them for replacement. I'm not even 100% sure it was OCZ. I really hate people that just spew this gibberish all over forums, personal experience or my friend said is not facts and you even have to check facts most of the time.

The issues were caused by Sandforce, not by OCZ. and once 2.15 firmware came out and a bit of tweaking was done all the issues I had running them in a RAID array went away.

I paid $70 for mine from the egg. One of the best things I ever did to improve performance.
