played episode 1 and 2 and i enjoyed it, can't wait for the 3rd season to start airing(tv), spose to be 16 episodes i think. never read the comics but i do like the show and the game.

The comics are different enough that they are totally worth reading. I loved them.

Season one was great, season two, not so good. AMC fired writer/director Frank Darabont due to wanting to severely cut the budget of the show. When fans reacted out of concern for how it would affect production, one of the things AMC said is they don't have to have a lot of zombies onscreen to give the feeling of a zombie apocalypse, they can just have zombie sounds.

That's why season two comes off as a soap opera compared to season one. The last episode of season two kinda redeemed the series, but they made fans wade through a lot of boring episodes to get to that point, and they still didn't have effects anywhere near as good as what season one had even in that last episode.
