Phenom II x6 vs x4

I have 2 choices. Should I go with the x6 1045 or the x4 955/965 BE? Also, these will work just fine in a 970 AM3+ board, correct?

I used to have the 1090t but don't remember them being so damn expensive. I remember them being dirt cheap. Would putting the 1045t @ ~3.3GHz be fairly easy? I obviously know how to do it. I'm just wondering if it would be able to handle that.

It all depends on what you are using the system for.

Diablo 3 and normal everyday uses like excel, word, etc. Nothing super extreme. I'd like to play D3 on ultra.

if gaming > 965
if not > 1045

Edit: just saw ya post ^ if you dont intend to game to much then go with the X6 it will be a better all rounder for you then.

I can run Diablo 3 on a single core so lol any of those will do fine.
