because this is a serious forum unlike GN. a No Thanks won't inspire much seriousness, it will provoke more flaming etc etc

it's also useless here.

No.
It would generate drama. We don't want drama.
If you do not find a thread or post useful/helpful simply don't comment about it.

You're always free to ask.
We are just giving you our opinions on why we don't feel it's a great idea.
I've had a few ideas that didn't go over well as people felt them unnecessary.

A no thanks button is only a useful tool to piss people off and troll IMO.
There is a one in the general nonsense troll cave section of TPU.

I can't help it if i socialize sometimes and you don't, Frick.

I'm saying you're a troll too is what I'm saying. And GN is not socializing, it's group masturbation to scat porn.

The only thing a "No Thanks" button would do is feed the trolls. Didn't your mother ever teach you to do a couple of things as a child to behave? You know, don't talk with your mouth full, be polite to others, and don't feed the trolls.

I agree with what others have stated, this thread should be locked.

I don't see any reason to have such feature, it would only promote flaming and ruin constructive criticism which is at the very foundation of an interesting/civil debate.

If there was such a button and let's say someone disagrees with a certain post it would just promote laziness all over the place, I just think that if you do not share the same point of view with someone people should just answer with a well constructed and organized post instead of just pressing a stupid button.

So my answer about it is no, the feature would actually subtract from the Forum's value and promote the trollfeeding.
