Caviar Black HDD

I'm looking for a 6GB/s Caviar Black HDD. I have $80 to spend. I can get a new 500GB at Microcenter, but I'm hoping to get bigger and help a fellow TPU user make some money.

Why a SATA 3 ?

Even if you get a SATA 3 / 6GB mechanical drive you wont be using the through put. Its like having a sticker that makes you feel good inside.

The only differance would be due to it being newer and having improved internals then the older models. Speed wise it will be same speed if the same specs where on the standard model 3gb

1) According to Newegg's pricing, SATA3 is cheaper than SATA2 (based on 1TB models).

2) According to specs on Newegg, SATA2 has a 32mb cache and SATA3 has a 64mb cache.

So to sum it up, it seems I would get more for less. That is why I'm looking to buy a SATA3.

I know what your saying but the new Caviar Blacks are "SATA 3" I know from my own drives in RAID 0 they at least hit SATA 2 speeds.

I have a 750GB WD Black (model WD7502AAEX) I'd let go for $80 shipped.
