Might want to fix all those graphs that say 256MB instead of 256GB

Nice review, but any reason you didn't include synthetic benchmarks like ATTO or Pro HD Tune?

what do you use synthetic benchmarks for ? just roll the dice, every controller design is designed to cheat benchmarks.
if you want synthetics, read any random review on the net

you should have the color of the bar in the bar graph for this drive different from all the others. Its hard to find the drive right away and compare it to the others in the review. But good review none the less. I was actually looking at this drive this morning as a possible candidate for my SSD upgrade.

EDIT: refreshed the review page and the bars now have different colors.

Guess all I'm curious about is how well the 128GB version is since we all know that performance on MLC is relative to the number of NAND chips ya got. Oh, that and how reliable Indilinx Everest 2 chip is, cause the latest Sandforce chip is just a friggin nightmare with its cycles.

For the lulz?

Waste of time though, if you question the usefulness of SSD over HDD the point may be lost.

For me I almost want to kick myself for not doing it sooner. 15 minute encode time for two effects on a 6 minute 1080i video VS less than 5 minutes just caching work on the SSD array, almost real time processing of single effect in Adobe Premier on 1080P video.

Awesome review W1zz!!!!

Do you think these will be more reliable than most other OCZ SSD's? I'm still using 5 year old WD Black HD and want to upgrade.

A lot of OCZs issues in the last gen such as the Vertex 3 was due mainly because of the sand force controller. Ive had my Vertex 2 for the last 3 years and still going strong.

We all know that SSD is >> HDD, but YES; I think it would be useful to include HDD on the charts, just to know how soon I should be upgrading the laptop or second PC. I'm sure lots of us here also build or advise family and friends and a comparative would be useful and objective info.

Nice review. Nice product.

Why waste the time adding a spin drive! It takes alot of time making these reviews, you think W1z want's to wait for hours testing a HDD against a SSD? but that's my opinion

SSD's are far superior to HDD's get it!

Id upgrade NOW...

Looking forward to see Samsung 830 256GB SSD test too, I just do not dare to buy OCZ drive again. Had too much problem with Vertex 2 and Vertex 3; V2 could not come back from sleeping, V3 freezing randomly and slow, bad customer service experience. Reading this also have blue screens, no thanks.

This drive performs well. But a well informative review should include relative details like this :
http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/12/o...lt-by-marvell/
And let readers decide if the company worth trusting.
