I keep getting random crashes to desktop after less than 5 minutes of playing, I play with a heavily modded Skyrim but have never had any problems in the past though admittedly I have neglected Skyrim recently. Has anyone had this problem? My Skyrim is updated to the latest version as well.

A rough estimate of the amount of mods I have installed is probably around 80-100.

That would be a very last resort, I would have to wipe my skyrim install because you can't just uninstall as many mods as I have

Edit: Seems to be working fine now for some odd reason though only my lvl 45 dark elf is able to get perk points , my lvl 53 imperial is not gaining any even through mods. The dark elf gets perk points from mods normally and my imperial doesn't which is a real pain since i favor the imperial :/ has anyone encountered that and found a fix?

Sigh seems the CTD are back now if it doesn't stay better I will have to re-install and do mods one by one through the mod manager :/

Edit: Totally forgot I had the retail disc for Skyrim -_- that makes going back to vanilla so much easier lol.

Well I just spent a few hours redoing all of my mods only to have NMM suddenly say they were deleted or moved and had to be uninstalled when there locations havent changed in months now I remember why I installed everything manually and didn't rely on shitty programs.

Edit: Even better everything I had stored in my Hideout is now gone

less than half as many mods installed as before and my problems are now 10x worse

I just did the same thing however as far as i know there is no way to add multiple files at once you just have to add a file and then navigate to the archive you are trying to add then rinse and repeat. Be warned though install every mod after bringing it in or Mod Manager will freak out at you and lose half your mods

I always used NMM for my mods but it stands to reason that trying to use it now would require uninstalling all the mods and reinstalling them through the mod manager.

Personally I'd go a step further and reinstall the game and start over. It will probably save you time.

A lot of people unwittingly disable DOF because it's part of a mod package or they just plain don't like DOF. I always disable it.

I can't help but laugh a little when I spend like 6 hours testing the ini, line by line, then I post in the forums and someone tries to dismantle the statement, with speculation.

Also disregard what I said about the Exteriorcellbuffer, turns out I had a partially corrupted save file I'm pretty sure..

okay, to bad turning Depth of field off gets rid of all the underwater effects to the point where it doesnt even look like your under water anymore. There is a mod on nexus to fix this through a simple plugin. It adjusts the underwater fog values back to something that works, that the 1.5 update messed up.

yeah, I uninstalled Skyrim and then deleted the folder to cleanly reinstall it and I am now reinstalling all my mods with NMM it is so much easier with this program!!!!! Some mods I will have to to it manually though.

I have heard that some mods are not fully compliant with the latest skyrim update and that is what causes the CTD's you may just have to add 1 play save add another rinse and repeat until you find the one/s that are the cause of the CTD's ... I know alot of the moders are trying hard to get their mods updated so they work

Quick question: I haven't been around for a while, does anyone know if there's a WEAPON and ARMOR Re-Texture PACK on Nexus that I could download?

I'm lookin for a bigazz one like the HD - 2K texture pack (this one ain't for weapons or armor, but you get the idea...)

Otherwise, can some of you shoot me a "screenshot" of their NMM mods (so I can see what weapons and Armor mods u got) or shoot me some links ??

I just installed a few mods (100 ior so!) from the Steam Workshop. Combined with the Beta Driver I have been having some crashes. Gotta manually hunt down the offending mod. This will be time consuming and tedious,

I read (too late) that if you complete the Dark Brotherhood's quests before it gets started it might cause problems.

I think I'll just pick the lock to Hjerim and see what happens. Might as well do it now, before I return the skeleton key...
