I think my SSD is dying

I came home today and found my computer sitting at a black screen saying Please restart and boot from proper boot media. So i shut down and shut it back on and chkdsk started randomly. So wierd. WIth this new install of windows after I got that virus ive been getting some BSOD for the last few says too.

yeah Im running 1.24 firmware. I read that the firmware updater for these drivers dont support the rapid storage technology though so.

Okay fuck OCZ firmware updates. YOu have to boot from a different drive to be able to do an update. So damn inconvenient.

Are you sure it isn't dying, Young Shaver? You may want to reconsider your collegiate financial aide

What has OCZ got to do with your Crucial firmware update?
Unless, your specs are wrong or you are on a different system.

And, the OCZ updater page may state that it does not work with IRST, but on non-raided, it worked fine on the OCZ drives I have (Vertex 2, Agility 3, and a Vertex 3).

ok its says in your system spec that the cruicialm4 is holding your OS. The old firmware causes crashes if this is your boot drive, ( otherwise you just see the disk disappear). updating it to the latest will fix this if this is the issue, I have 4 of these drive this fixes all their issues which are not many.

nevermind. I am getting BSOD 5 minutes after I reboot every time. Im going to do another clean install and see if that fixes it. Going to unplug my storage drive while it does it. Seems like every reboot for some reason the boot order gets all messed up.

well, the SSD doesn't even show up anymore. Ive done a clean install of windows on a spare drive I have and my SSD is not detected.............................. My other storage drive is. I am filing an RMA to OCZ for this drive. get a replacement, and then sell it for my Samsung 830 128GB drive. FUCK THIS SHIT!
