Swiftech introduces PWM speed controlled version of the Helix 120x25mm fan
![]() The Helix 120mm PWM fan features the same great performance characteristics optimized for liquid cooling applications (high static pressure and low noise) as the Helix 120, and it also includes PWM speed control The advantage of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is well known for its energy efficiency, but the more immediate benefit for everyday use is that you can connect this fan to your motherboard 4-pin CPU_Fan header thus directly linking the fan speed to the CPU temperature. Fan speed is then automatically managed by the motherboard based on your preferred settings (please consult your motherboard user manual for adjustment settings). Swiftech also offers a PWM splitter cable to connect multiple fans, and thus share the PWM signal from a single 4-pin motherboard connector, which allows all the fans to work in concert depending on CPU speed. this sounds good. Wish they had a higher cfm though but that may just be me. I like higher numbers. Am I seeing that splitter right? there both connected together. I see you can plug to fans in but why to fan headers for the board if you have two ends for the fans? not sure if I follow that right.
Are there any prices on these yet? |

So that is a wire connecting the two cables together? Hows it work with 2 fans plugged in on 2 fan headers connected via wire? Is one m/b connector a 4 pin and other is a 3pin so you can see rpm for both fans or it'll just maintain same rpm for both fans?

you can see both rpm's, and the pwm controls the speed of both fans together.

That is a good idea givin the m/b headers are near by. Thats a good concept. Now if I can get some of these to play with and see how well they perform would be awesome.
When is this out if not already? is there a price for them yet? |

they are already out @ MSRP of $11.95 each (on our site) - resellers should stat receiving them (in the US) towards the end of the week, and street price will depend on each inidvidual reseller.
