it just makes me mad to shell out $135 for BF3 and then to get slapped in the face by this kind of deal.

I hate to say it man but I doubt a IGP 6550D will play BF3 properly even on lowest settings.

Yeah so looking forward to this. Will bring me back to BF3 as my main everyday game.

Besides my sudden Tribes Ascend addiction I'm a bit tired of vanilla anyway. And I am not as good in straight up infantry combat...

examiner.com - Battlefield 3 Armored Kill sets stage at Gamescom, DICE wants fan feedback

Quote:
BATTLEFIELD 3 | AUGUST 13, 2012 | BY: BEN MILLER

As many of you know, the Gamescom 2012 video game convention is set to take place this week, starting tomorrow on August 14. In preparation for this event, Battlefield fans should take note that DICE will be showcasing the upcoming Armored Kill expansion pack for Battlefield 3.

In preparation for this showcasing, the official Battlefield Twitter account has proceeded onto teasing a photo of the event in preparation. As can be seen in the photo above, it has been confirmed that fans will be getting a taste of information on Battlefield 3, Armored Kill, and Battlefield Premium, at the EA press conference at Gamescom.

Gamescom will officially kickoff tomorrow, but Battlefield fans will probably be most focused on the timing of the EA press conference, of which will be showcasing Battlefield 3 Armored Kill as one of it's featured titles. The official EA press conference will start on Wednesday, August 15, at approximately 7:00 AM PDT. The EA press conference will be showcased through a live video feed over at EA.com. Also, be sure to view the slide-show above for Armored Kill screens, as well as the Armored Kill trailer below.

In other Battlefield 3 news, it seems that DICE is now reaching out to fans in order to find what players are having issues with the most in the game. Through a post on Reddit, a DICE representative has created a thread with the sole purpose of “finding and listing the most critical bugs/design walls/general stuff to dislike that is still present in [the] game to this day.”

Fans are being asked to list any concerns that they feel should be addressed, in order to improve on the overall experience with Battlefield 3. If you are having any specific issues with your experience with Battlefield 3, be sure to contribute to the thread on Reddit.

He's buying a card at the end of Sept too as BF3 Premium is a package deal. He's thinking HD7700 series for now and maybe a better HD8K when they are released.

Joystiq - Battlefield 4 sticking to modern warfare

Quote:
by Alexander Sliwinski on Aug 13th 2012 9:00AM

Battlefield 4 will be set in modern times, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson revealed at GDC Europe today. The game, which was announced with no pomp last month, will have a beta sometime next year, but little else has been revealed. However, with a lag time of six years between Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 3, why did the studio go with Battlefield 4 so quickly instead of heading back to Bad Company?

"There's a lot of things inspiring us as to how the franchise will move on. Everything from fans' feedback, to market research and, of course, what we want to build ourselves. It's not just one single thing," said Troedsson, continuing with a hint of sarcasm. "And, yes, I know Battlefield 4 is probably the most creative name we ever could come up with. I can't comment any more on that game because it's all secret."

However, he did go on to say, "We still want to stay in this genre, the modern day as it is. We feel this is a place we can be and continue with the series. Battlefield 4 can live in this space and be very successful."

Hinting, in conclusion, "That doesn't mean there might not be a Bad Company game again in the future."

hey yea frick!

Im so excited for Armor Kill and After Math. I really do not want BF4 to come. Not for another 5 years haha. And if BF4 wasn't going to be modern warfare id be surprised. BF2142 is the future warfare battlefield. I wish they would make a 2143 though instead of BF4.

Just like I go thru every year with the Sunday ticket. I paid $300 a year for it and they give it to new customers every year for free. It is marketing. It is what it is !
