read it here.

I particularly like this part.

It says basically that we are going to do this unless it's not legal.

No fucking wonder people download!!!!!

It makes me want to.

These types of contract are bullshit anyway, they can't prove that you yourself clicked agree for a start. Furthermore you can't give up any rights no matter what you agree to.

An awful lot of Ebay traders say shit like " No returns" even though in England they're legally required to give you a 7 day grace period ( Long distance trading regulations)

Contracts and agreements can't cancel out laws and rights : ]

What people do no realize digi is that EVERY game they have purchased since atleast mid 90's have a user agreement in the installer and the miss this by learning to press enter as fast as they can to install the game and get to playing. Just because steam has updated this agreement doesn't mean they want to steal you're information or listen in on you're thoughts.

PEOPLE NEED TO DROP THE TIN FOIL HATS BEFORE THEY COOK THEIR BRAINS!

I believe most of the contention derives from changing a standing agreement. In this particular case I do not feel in any way threatened by the recent change, but I question the ethics of changing an agreement. I know that many of you dismiss concerns as paranoia, but what is today a minor tweak could be a substantial change tomorrow.

Only time it would be a real concern is if the government recognized it fully as law (which they do not) AND it superseded your rights as established in your Constitution. (Which is can't).

They could write "By using the software you agree to forfeit your freedom of speech in every aspect of your life". Now how long do you think that would stand up in court? An EULA cannot effect your individual rights. It has NOTHING to do with your rights.

There you go again...thinking (incorrectly, as usual)

You figured? You need to quit "figuring", that's where you make so many mistakes and get into so many arguements.
I never said I was a "teacher", I said I usually get paid to teach.

There is a difference.

Google it perhaps?:

If you get paid to teach, you are a teacher. Just like I taught you what a right was. I was being a teacher.......only I teach the correct info and don't charge people to give them false info, apparently that's your job.

The reason Agreement is in quotes and parenthesis is to let you know that from that point forward the word Agreement always means The Steam Subscriber Agreement. Its a legal thing. You will notice a few lines later that EU Subscriber is used the same way.

Was wondering if someone would point that out before someone tried to make it out as some sort of trickery by Steam

I know, but the irony of it being in quotes was not lost on me.

Love steam for their flaws, and hate them for their rights... EULA's suck... just like opinions, everyone has one, its like an ass... we all got one, and it stinks -.-...

I remember back when steam banned me from my 60 Dollar copy of MW2 over a hacking attempt I never did, my account had been hacked and they even admitted to this, but when I asked them what hack was used in my account... "We are not at liberty to tell you this information" BULLSHIT! its my account, and damn it I paid for some of your POS services...

Everyone... its time for a boycott! XD
