@Aleksander Dishnica: The fan doesn't seem to ever go higher than about 45-55%, with temps happily at about 55-60. In 3dmark11 it only got to 51c, with the fans at 35%.

Back to the game: I don't have dawnguard, don't plan on getting it till theres a sale at least 25% off. But I found out that mods that say "for dawnguard only" in microscopic fine print only work if you have dawnguard lol. I spent about 4 hours trying to figure out why skyrim was suddenly crashing at the main menu, finally decided that it was a mod and then disabled them all one by one to find the offender. And then I look at the description of it once I find it and it says, "Dawnguard only, if used without dawnguard, game will crash." I swear that wasn't there when I downloaded it; I feel dumb

But yeah, this game is wonderful. Just finished my third playthrough of the main story, after I left off skyrim entirely for about 3 months. The ending was even more epic this time. I also just passed 270 hours, and still finding new quests all the time.

There should be a mod like THIS. A mod where you play through the game as a guard advancing through the ranks from town to town taking down murderers, thieves, and other baddies in and around the towns.

Getting back into skyrim.

Love the ENB im using (Superb) but I don't like my .ini settings.

Anyone have a really good looking yet maxed out .ini? I want to be able to see grass from afar as well as everything else.

PLEASE! Who has a great .ini they can share? I don't want ugrids 9 though... 7 is good. Although I can change that myself just warn me.

Be careful about ugrids. If you change it to a higher value, the games you save at that higher value won't work if you later decide to switch to a lower value. Test it out thoroughly before deciding which value to continue the game on!

You could try 9. Only just try it out in the open like for example on the outside of Whiterun, run a little bit in the countryside, and quit. Just don't let yourself let carried away and remember that any save game you save on 9 will not work on 7.

I tried the above myself, went up to 11 but that froze everything! So I'm using 9 now. Sometimes the fps goes down to 40 but I can deal with that
