Help me choose a video card!

Good day TPU! I'm in a bit of a dilema. I only have the following 2 video cards to choose from:

PowerColor HD7970

Zotac GTX 670 AMP! Edition

They're similarly priced and the games I have are SC2, D3, Civ V, and BF3. I'm kind of leaning toward buying the 7970 now 'coz it's currently on stock at the local shop I'm planning to buy from while the 670 would be available in about 2 weeks (I just missed out on the last available card). Which would be a better buy?

7970 is what i would do. I don't really care for Powercolor but its just because they screwed me on a rebate. What resolution?

go for the 7970 xd , if your case is the same in your system specs a standard graphic card is good and the 7970 if is not ghz , just use ccc or other programs ,look and see how oc is the 7970,the gtx 670 is a good card but if you wanna oc is not like the 7970 and the model you post from zotac is not good is the case dont have a good amount of airflow

The monitor I currently have only reaches a max resolution of 1680x1050 but I'm planning to upgrade the monitor in a month or so or buy an SSD hahaha... I'm still undecided on that...

I thought what they had was the ref design but it turns out to be this... I've got 3 intake fans (2 on the front and 1 on the bottom) and 1 exhausting the air through the back... I could put one more fan on the top and side panel though if ever it's necessary.
