Well I mean he seems pretty bothered that I removed his posts and told him he had a browser issue. Had I done nothing, that would have been the outcome I am sure. Then I have to clean up an even bigger mess

Then after quite a few PMs, he saw I wouldn't take his side, and now here we are.

Hope that helps to shed light on the fact that I was trying to be the nice guy with the initial PM stating the issue was on his end and please stop crapping in the thread.
How did it go SP?

You admit I stated I had issues with his links, I reported these following the rules of the forum, what yo0u didnt do was reply in thread and ask me to delete temp/cache files, you deleted the posts with no explanation and then proceeded to to PM me and tell me I was thread crapping, had you said in the OP I would have listened being a tech site and all as we are meant to help each other are we not?

Your stance was I was being a troll and needed to stop or I would feel the wrath, the rest is in the thread here and you chose to make it public as I didn't mention you or the OP....

You're still PM'ing me too lol

you are right, posting irrelevant posts in a thread is called thread crapping. It wasn't meant to be hurtful, its just a term.

Never once called you a troll though Nor did I imply that.

^ This, from what I can tell. As far as this thread in question, in regards to it being spam, it is not. I've checked and double checked with two separate browsers and I didn't once get a redirect. I suggest this is dropped before it unnecessarily escalates any further.

Thanks much.

I have no issue with this. I have also stated this in PMs with the member.

He doesn't see my angle, and I don't see his. Such is life at TPU

I have been nothing but calm and understanding with this issue, though really feel I am being painted in a light that doesn't reflect truely what has happened here. I will not back down when I have done nothing wrong.

have you googled the definition to trolling and thread crapping?

Also as I stated, I am blunt and honest. If my terms offend you, you should say this instead of the books of PMs that have been going back and forth

Haven't we come to an agreement already that you have done nothing wrong? Why continue this particular issue in public? You brought this to attention, it's settled. Why continue? Leave it be as now it seems like you are arguing for arguments sake.

Thanks.

I didn't know we had and on that basis Erocker I am more than happy to leave it where it is, I do appreciate your input on the matter though and am just sorry it wasn't for something more worthwhile.

Oh dear..

sometimes when i click on the links on frontage for newest posts in certain threads it directs me to the first page of the thread, which i find rather annoying, can't it be last post?

Excellent point, you have reminded me that this is something that I have put up with for nearly 7 years! Although might I suggest you start a new thread in Comments & Feedback as this is now predominantly feedback about Moderation staff and the way we go about our business.

We should have a "general complaint" thread. I dont want to start a new thread for how annoying it is with all the posts poking "fun" at the apple v samsung thing. Its getting stupid beyond stupid.

Meh, if you ask me it's just like the "but can it play Crysis?" phrase that makes me cringe every time I see it. The Crysis joke is 5 years old... at least Apple vs Samsung is still new and fresh.

Why not? Just make a new thread. If there are particular posts that are troublesome, report them.

A "General Complaint" Thread would serve no purpose other than to create drama as it would be filled with whining, thread crapping and flaming.
We really don't want that.
