winpatrol plus 50% off today
I've been using winpatrol (free) for the last couple of years. BitsDuJour is running a promo today... you can buy winpatrol plus at half price. Just go to the regular winpatrol website, buy, e.g. family unlimited PCs, and enter the coupon "bits" to get 50% off.
So today I just upgraded from the free edition to the family-install-on-all-your-machines PLUS edition for $25. Footnote I am not affiliated with winpatrol in any way, just passing on the offer so you can also save $ for other things.

Thanks, Completely Bonkers!
I had forgotten about the little black scottie they use in the logo. I used this a long time ago, when it was distributed buy them in a colorful box.

Is it really worth the $25 for the family package?
Never tried Winpatrol. Wondering if it helps, hurts, slows down systems, slows down games, etc... Some user input would be awesome! :-)

When there are younger users or not so savvy users, it's nice to know that Scotty is watching and will let me know if a change is happening on their system. I just had them notify me if Scotty popped up.
I have not seen any negative affect on my system.

I see. It is a protective application. That makes sense.
Thanks Bumblebee. :-)
