What Should I Upgrade?

check my system specs, budget is $400 what can be improved *while still being worth it* ^^

theres always room for improvement, even if the improvement is for making a better folding/crunching pc, need suggestions, even a monitor, best keyboard/mouse suggestions would be nice, im a big gamer so I have a G510 keyboard but I like creating stuff in photoshop my G9 mouse is ok but is there a better, I have the G9 not G9x... still don't know the difference between reference and x model

There's nothing wrong with your system, why upgrade? It's kickass.

its nice having extra money to spend specifically for technology, yeah my pc is awesome hense the fantastic name it has, but theres always room for improvement, even if the improvement is for making a better folding/crunching pc, need suggestions, even a monitor, best keyboard/mouse suggestions would be nice, im a big gamer so I have a G510 keyboard but I like creating stuff in photoshop my G9 mouse is ok but is there a better, I have the G9 not G9x... still don't know the difference between reference and x model

Get a watercooling setup... that's the only thing I can think of that makes any sense for your system.

If you want to improve Folding, then put an nvidia card in it. I think the GTX 580 is actually faster than the GTX 680 in this respect, but I'm not sure. You can double check this in the Folding section here on TPU.

Add a few coins to your budget and get another 7970 and Crossfire? Hell I don't know you are pretty golden.

I concur. Not much room for improvement. So put it under water!

But it's true, nvidia cards get better throughput in Folding. It's what I've seen on this very forum!

Nothing to do with fanboyism.

Shhh...I hear thats true too. Odd considering the raw computational power a 7970 is capable of. Conspiracy I say

I'm banking on AMD cards being more difficult to use as they feature specialized shaders that only handle certain tasks, while Nvidia's shaders do everything a shader can do.

You could get one of those 1440p korean monitors. Maybe even a soundcard and speaker/headphone set. I think watercooling is your best bet though. That is what I would do.

yea I understand water cooling would be the most logical improvement but im not gonna do it because the maintance alone and the added checks is to much for me im a very busy person, I like my frio OC, monitor 1440P sounds good... lol anyone can suggest a great mousepad for photoshop for a steady feel?
