NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Pictured

Here is the first picture of what the retail version of NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 650 graphics card looks like. Based on the same GK107 silicon as the GeForce GT 640, the GTX 650 features faster GDDR5 memory. Its reference design board closely resembles that of the GT 640, with the exception of the black PCB and a 6-pin PCIe power connector to draw power from. Interestingly, the new chip has the same typical power draw rating as the GT 640, at 65W. This could give it a significant performance/Watt edge over its predecessor, the GeForce GTS 450. The GeForce GTX 650 packs 384 CUDA cores, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 1 GB of memory. It is said to feature similar GPU clock speed to the GT 640, lack of GPU Boost, but with 5.00 GHz GDDR5 memory, compared to the 1800 MHz GDDR3 memory the GT 640 features. The GTX 650 is bound for a little later this quarter.

if those 384 CUDA cores are kepler cores, than this card is going to have a bad time

That is exactly what I was thinking....the GTX 660Ti has 1344 Kepler cores this would have 384? This sounds like a crappy card. If this is 384 Fermi cores well that is a different thing. But with 384 Kepler cores we can expect to see a Frame rate of 12 @ 1920x1080 in games like battlefield 3.

so, what do they do with 640 dd3 prices? 30usd less at least. and put "gtx 650" at current gt640 pricing. if not, i don't know who can be that fool to buy a card that may cost like a 7750/7770 but with 5670 performance.
this is how nvidia wins. good top gpus, worst low end gpus ever seen.

So this is why GT640 gddr5 has been MIA. (In fact the only place to get one afaik is from Dell, and it basically looks just like the pic.) It's now the GTX650 (gtx? lol). The GT640 is dog slow ... I wonder how much that gddr5 is going to help. (Actually I have a gt640 for Linux, and it works nicely for triple screen 3d accelerated desktop.) Maybe the rumored spec is wrong, and it'll be 768, not 384 ... but the pic looks like the Dell part ...
