better cooling for OC

hi techies!!!! can someone tel me what cooler have beter performance...the ones for cpu or gpu??cause mine on hd6950 is not that great...and i think i can get some good cpu coler for nice price...so..will it perform beter then gpu cooler(stock)???

you cannot attatch a CPU cooler to a gpu for the following reasons:


mounting mechanism is different

height restrictions.

GPUs are generally much hotter than CPUs. CPUs dont exceed 140W. GPUs are well up to 160Wabove 140W. infact your 6950 is 200W at stock. So even a good CPU cooler will fail miserably on a GPU.

i never saw the point in Overclocking GPUs.
but the Accelero Xtreme III is well reputed and even i reccomend that!

artic freeze wont help much! but you will see 1-5C drop at max!
