F1 2012 PC demo discussion[No GFWL]

Under no circumstance would I have bought F1 or any title with either GFWL or Origin, so F1 2012 has a shot at a place in my steam library, but only if it drives well.
Steam Demo should be out within a few hrs, so I'll report back.

GFWL is non intrusive on 2011 (and 2010 if I remember). It wasn't worth avoiding the game.
Having said that, both are pretty dismal as a racing game. The AI can be awful... Grand Prix II from the 90s had smarter AI.

Thanks for the update on 2012.

Maybe if:
You didn't call your parents fags
You didn't call yourself "hacker" on the internet
You learned to spell "awesome" and "assassin"
they might think you are mature enough to get the game. -Davidelmo

There are still some quirks, like if you start playing offline, then decide to finally try and remember your credentials, you have to start over for online mode.

Then there is remembering your login credentials. for something you never use.

.
What's your explanation for the save file corruption issue if not the ridiculous GFWL?
I wouldn't recommend F1 2011 to my worst enemy because of GFWL.

I'm coming from 2010 to 2012 my first time to try KERS and DRS

I have around 2 hours of driving done, I'm not for sure what they consider crash, but the game say Ive crashed 86 times!!
So far I like the game my best time was a 1:47 flat for YDT.

I was having fun and trying free run dry and was able to do a whole lap with DRS never turning off i did NO braking lol.

My comp is getting constant 47fps with these settings

If you are crashing that often, you should probably do a MEMTEST.

Steam does not let me launch the demo. Windows update wanted a restart during download. Redownloaded it 4 times. Still getting error 55 and no launch (steam servers not available...)

I Pre-Ordered F1 2012 45 days ago and Newegg won't ship me my game because they say its out of stock and claim they go by "first-come first-serve basis" I don't see how I'm not part of the "first-come first-serve basis" as the game was not up for Pre-Order much before that! And if my order gets canceled I hope I can re-order again for the same price of $39.99... As you can tell I'm very frustrated, because I have been waiting for this game for ages I go every other year for games like this.
