Your Loss.

I like GnR myself along with most Hair bands of that time, JB needs a new pair of balls honestly. Music aint what it used to be.

I used to Play UT99, UT 2003/2004, Deus Ex, Deus Ex IW, Splinter Cell, GRAW, Delta Force Extreme II, Project Torque (Before it was Heat), Combat Arms, Operation 7, Cross Fire, HAWX. Haven't PC gamed in about 3 years now. Just following the tech industry still is all

Have you honestly read the story line? The game has more language and provocative slurs in it than I have seen in games these days. This game is the absolute opposite than what you are describing which sounds like hello kitty island adventure.

The game is just as fun as the first one. Ive only played a few hours.

Yes BL2 it uses Cell shaded graphics. So do many games.
Who cares what it looks like as long as it is fun.
I still play dungeon keeper 1 in dos box with NO 3D why because the game is and epic master peace and fun as.

BL2 more bad guys a zillion different guns more CLAP TRAPS. Its BL but better.

Who cares if BL2 doesn't run on ATI etc.
I think BL2 also Only uses 2 cores. Hell I better not buy it.
OH and it might only use 4GB or ram better not buy it.
Last time I checked there are no games that "need" an I7 and ATI or Nvidia card other wise "THEY WILL NOT RUN AT ALL"

If every PC gamer had the same attitude towards games there would be no more PC games.

The game is awesome, simple as that. I already know plenty of people here got their knickers in a twist long before it was released, and it's not like they didn't know the game was gonna support PhysX when they went out and bought their preferred brand of graphics card.

Got the game free with my GTX 670, loving it.

I mean I knew about PhysX sure, wasn't something I got bothered over. NV sticks it into games whenever they can or else they can't really promote it. It's still hit and miss as it has been with other games it's been in. Always seems to be some sort of trade off somewhere to use it.

I cranked it up to High on the CPU and the explosion debris just seemed way OTT for me. The Water and Clothes look nice tho. But the performance hit still doesn't justify it for me. Just extra "Sparkles" that don't change the game in any significant way.

Actually the Unreal Engine 3 uses PhysX regardless, so it's hardly a case of sticking it in willy nilly. It's a great physics API and people need to get used to it.

That may be so but like every other game there is a trade off using it. It still drags FPS down when used which effects gameplay.

Bottom line, it is still just "Window Dressing" and you pay a price for using it.

Of course, realistic physics are intensive, PhysX just gets a hard rap because nothing else offers the same features/flexibility.

Havoc was optimized for CPU use is what im getting at, basically meaning if intel didnt have control of it games could have comparable levels of Physics processing through the CPU itself and not need a daughterboard.

Physx is still a last minute addition in most games. With alot of FPS games youre not standing still for most part to smell the roses.

If CPU Havok could do what PhysX does on GPU, Intel would be all over itand we would have it. It just cannot be done, that's why we don't have it in nearly a decade now. Intel bought Havok to ensure that Havok FX (havok on GPU) never released.

Then is doesn't offer the same features/flexibility does it? Havok is and will likely remain CPU only now whilst PhysX supports both CPU and GPU, and with the APEX toolset things continue to improve all the time.

Anyway I think this article on the whole physics debate makes some great points:

Too true about using guns, i grew up rabbiting etc, i often wonder about the brutal nature of killing in games, i always think, what about all those dead soldiers families?? bit weird i know!!
