ViewSonic Introduces the VP2770-LED 27-Inch WQHD IPS Monitor

Looks great, a lot of money but, guess you have to pay for the extra pixels etc. That sort of res is great for multimedia applications.

Looks good and I'm glad to see more screens with that resolution.
Now, can it run at 75Hz and higher? And I understand for wanting to have HDMI on the checklist but why keep including d-sub?

The Koreans are building a 27in XP monitor, and shipping it halfway around the world for half this price and maintaining profitabilty. If you knew how inexpensive it is to produce todays flat-screen monitors you would weep.

Unfortunately video cards cannot coupe with that resolution yet. While this is good for office and design work, I donno how good is for gaming...

I had a 7970, I had to jump to SLI'd GTX 670s to keep up with 1440p

Are you sure man? You don't need anything over 8x AA on something over 1200p maybe that's why a 7970 wasn't enough.

I am just fine with a couple 6990s (count it as a single 6990 cause scaling over 2 GPUs is terrible) on 1600p.

My pair of 6970s handle everything I throw at them at 1600p, but I always shut off AA as there is no real need for it at that res.
I'm not that fussy either, so take that into consideration.
