I mean if your going for the long run, just get the 670. The 660 Ti, should be ok on high settings. I currently have the same card as you, 570 Twin Frozr III Power Edition, its a pretty good card, but I am looking to upgrade too. Yeah I've been with an Gigabyte 6970, totally screwed me over. It stopped working maybe a month before Christmas, heard nothing until January/February, until they finally told me, "We don't stock this card any more, so we're going to have to refund you". So I was like, sweet, I can get a new better card. But nooo, I don't get a full refund, I get a refund thats about $50 less, because the price of the card "depreciates". Thanks allot Gigabyte.. Lovin the MSI though . Probably going to get a MSI 680 Lightning.

And just what I am doing. I've actually partially worked out, that if I sell my whole system, It may actually cost less, to upgrade my whole computer, then just the GPU. Just a though.

Yea, likewise.. I'd say you're a bit more futureproof with the 670..Bonus is, It's virtually a 680 in like every respect.
Coming from me "A guy who bought a 680" I say that with a slight cringe on my face...

I've heard from allot of people, that the Inno3D 670, and the ASUS 670 Direct CU II, are essenially 680's.

You heard "essentially" right.
It is a beast and worth every penny imo..
It's not like the old gts 320 vs the 8800gtx here..
The 670 is a little monster, especially at the res he's going to be playing at..

Why would you "upgrade" to a 660Ti? Overclock the 570 you have with some extra voltage. The 670 is the first worthwhile upgrade I see out of your card.

Eesh, he has a 570 already aye?...
Idk.. I guess you can upgrade it...lol..
Me, I might wait for the next line of GPU's..
Idk just how much you can expect to see for an improvement..

I like the "overclock the 570" approach personally.

Why Bother? I'm sure I saw something somewhere saying the 670 is nearly double as fast as the 570. And SLI is a bit of a hassle anyways.

A second 570 would make more of a performance difference.

your 570 is about the same as a 480...

SLi would be the same as running that GTX590 located further down the graph in the better performance section. An overclock would just increase performance and a pair of 570's is faster than a single 590 plenty reviews of that.

Agree, and with OC you should get over the 590 performance.

True [reference card with no OC]
And SLI works very well, all the way from 2 to 4.

budget... gtx 650 or absolute minimum the oc'd gt640ddr3 on intel i3-2120
useful... gtx 660 (i plan on getting one of these probably the MSI twin
gamer... gtx 670
1337 gamer (or wants the best ...IMO, Yes 7970 is the same thing ) ... gtx 680
...but i think SLI gtx 660 might be 1337 sweet!

Apologies to AMD.. on an AMD system, ironically, AMD GPU's endup being dissappointing (for me)... the last nvidia card that i tried, that was dissappointing (returned) ... gtx580 asus MATRIX.
BTW i own ATI/AMD 2600xt, 3870, 4870,4890,5450,6850,6950... and gtx9800, gtx560ti, gt640,gt610.

AMD cpus 3000, 3200, 3700, x2-5000be,905e,940,9600,9850,955be,1100t. and (c60m-i)... and a lone i3-2120... though i think it will be only intel from now on (unless the "new" bulldozer is competitive(same) with a non oc'd 3770... then I will buy the 4GHZ new bulldozer.)

24% faster at his resolution, a little more across the board so to speak, whilst an overclocked 660ti can equal a 570 at stock, your only viable and cost effective options are to go SLi as some have said or less cost effective..... go for the 670, personally I would pay for the 24% and get the 670 only because I have not always had an easy life with multi card setups, let alone the power draw of 2 of those animals.

The 66ti of course would be a little cheaper, give you around a 20% improvement overclocked over your existing card and probably last for 2 years..... hmmmm decisions lol!

thanx to you all,in oc matters im a noob and i went sli with 2 pairs of evga GTX570, sold the 2 and got the current msi i have cuz most games dont work with sli.
in the other hand im forthseeing the dx11 games that uses much more than 1280mb. both gtx660&670 have 2gb. in most benches here in tpu 660ti gets 10-20 fps from gtx570, is like a better gtx580 with 2gb for $320 at max. and what can i say about the 670.... awesome reviews.
waiting the next gen humm? NO!! im a pc gamer and i want to play everything that comes out that its worth the money. i didnt pay $500 for the gtx580 4 the time being and same situation here now. But the gtx 670 for $399 looks promising.
the less i can sell my card in my country is $280, and ask my cousin to buy me in compusa.com
the ones i posted earlier.
and i should have it by november 1q.
