This looks really good. I've been looking for a reason to hook up my cockpit again. This might be it....in 2013.

I never had a chance to test out last night(too tired from the days work) after it finished its install. I did hook the Momo up this morning and fired up the game. I messed a bit in Video options but, didn't have time to test anything else. So I am looking forward to testing out tonight after work and this weekend as well.

Sweet! Today they launched a new build available for Team Members +. By the way did you get Junior or Team Member ?
Im asking this because you will probably feel the FFB and physics handling a bit weird compared on how it is currently

Went with the Junior for now...I want to test it a bit and see if I want to upgrade from there.

I like it so far! Need to practice lots more! Every thing seems to function correct for me.

I may have to put my other 4870x2 in for this baby. Been running on one this summer.

Yeah with out the guidance on the settings for the Momo in the link you provided I would have been at a complete loss...I did try every thing at install default because there was one fellow who went on about its super duper fine and I found it to be like near impossible but, with the recommended settings very playable.

The steering settings that is.

You can play even if it is under construction

Multiplayer is not available yet, it is still under developers internal testing, soon it will be available for us. Probably by the end of next month.
Currently you can only beat some records

Thats a beautiful track setting for sure!I thought it top notch.
I had to turn down snit with just one card in but with two in and the settings up she looks real nice!

All the crossfire stuff on my rig had no issues at all with this game! If this is alfa then cripes its going to be sweet!

This is no doubt a real live Sim...I think this Sim has the potential to have the potential to do both and be a top notch Sim and Hi end gaming fun loving time.
AS for the wheel statement, you have to tune the wheel or else you may and probably will have issues(this is because its a Sim) ...I really dig this on my MoMo wheel on my rig.

Great news everyone, the first Multiplayer testing of Project CARS occured today and it went smooth! The developers invited some members to try with them and discussed the progress with them live through a chat meeting. There were 13 players from US, Asia and Europe all playing together on the same server and there was no visible warping or other major issue like it was expected !
MP Test 2 will be on tomorrow @ 5pm GMT - Check the MP Videos @ the main forums and the newest trailer @ Gametrailers

Does this game support quad core CPU's?

My racing cockpit, which has been collecting dust for a couple of years now; is in my garage where I have a projector and HT system. I have a HTPC out there but it only has a dual core (E8600) and an old 8800GT 512. I am thinking about upgrading my gaming rig to a 7970 and would put my 6970 in my HTPC. I just wonder how my E8600 would handle this game.

Okay I looked over the member packs and I have a question or two. By becoming a member and downloading the build does that mean I can play that build anytime I want and depending on my member level I can get newer builds weekly or monthly but I always can play a build that I currently have?

Considering the money I spend now is taken off the final game price I don't see this as a big deal and wouldn't mind trying it out.

Hey WhiteNoise. It supports quad-core CPU's but it wont use the 4 CPU to the max or anything like it. It is more GPU dependent for now.

Builds can only be playable with a connection to the internet, limit to 1 account per PC.
Monthly Builds are for Juniors
Weekly Builds are for Team Members, Full Members, Seniors
Daily Builds are for Managers & Senior Managers.

I would recommend a Team Member level entry just so you have every friday a new version to test with the latest updates, the Junior is just for people that want little taste of what pCARS is and its limited in terms of vehicles and tracks you can drive.

You can always upgrade later on if you find the game worthy of so. For example if you get the Team member pack (25€) and you want a Full Member (45€) you just have to add 20€ to upgrade.
