System Specs

PC in a Toaster

This is what I've been working on. It's rather crude in design, but it works.

Intel Desktop Board D525MW Mini-ITX 1.8GHz
4GB DDR3
Pico-PSU 150W (and external power brick)
802.11B/G Wifi (recycled from an old laptop)
Toshiba 200GB 2.5" HDD
ASUS DVD burner
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit

I was originally going to install openSUSE but I was able to get a free Windows 7 license through MSAA, so I used that instead.

It doesn't make toast anymore, but it does burn DVDs.

Please rate it here: http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/3452.html

Apple needs to get a hold of you for a Mac Mini commercial.

Guy running PhotoShop on his mac mini... guy with a slice of bread looking for the slot with his PowerToastPC.

I love these kind of mods. When I was a kid I put an old P2 in my desk drawer and thought it was the coolest. Haven't done a case mod since.

So what happens when you push the lever down, does the CPU heat up? When it's done, does the DVD pop up? LOLz

Saw this on the case mod gallery... pretty sweet mod. I know what you could do for version 2.0. Use a 4 slot toaster and build a mini-itx fm2 system, with two of the slots still functional for toast looks pretty sweet so far though I'd put a mesh flap at the top
