Hd 7850 or 7870?

I am getting closer to getting me a new gpu.

I want to save some money by not getting me the most expensive card, but i don't want to get me a new card that's only slightly better then my Club 3d gtx 560 coolstream

Hd7850 1/2gb or Hd 7870 2gb?

I play need for speed shift, drift and mass effect 3 with highest setting my gtx 560 can play the games in without any lagg (medium/high) and always in full hd (1920x1080).

I have an i7 870 oc to 3.3 ghz with turbo and hyper threading enabled, i guees it's fast enough for any gpu slower then a gtx 670 (in benchmark my cpu stock,is faster then the 8 core amd fx-8150).

1 gb or 2 gb vram? I know that 1 gb vram is enough for full hd, but bf3 in full hd and on ultra 2gb vram is better

How much can i oc a 7850? To the performance of a gtx 570,hd7870?

Which non ref hd 7850/7870 is the best (of the cheapest one)

How much decrease in performance with a 3.0 x16 gpu when used with a mb that only has pci e 2.0 16x?

Don't want to use more then 200euro, a 1gb hd 7850 costs 160 euros on caseking.de (good price) and alows med to get a new 1.5tb harddrive so i can have all my backup, music and films on one drive

no decrease on a 2.0 express slot, so no worries there. u def want 2gb. 1gb will hold u back in a lot of games.

7850 2gb and OC it in CCC to max. and u should be ok.

Not really, all depends on what resolution he is playing at. At 1080p still to this day 1GB will do pretty well. However, still going with a 2GB+ card would be the way to go.

Id get a HD7870 2GB card. If you can afford it. Why not?

The 7870 is truly the card to beat for price/performance all things considered...no question.

Overclock it and have something around the speed of a 7950/660ti at stock...and really, that should be about all you ever need for 1080p.

IMO it's worth in. Potentially it could save you from needing to upgrade for a long while. 7850 just ain't quite gonna cut it going forward.

Did you bother to read the review on this? There's no difference until 1600p.

Depending on where you live the HD7870 can only be a few dollars difference.

I'm pleased with the performance of my HD7870 but then again I upgraded from an HD4850 512mb.

Been reading that there has been issues with the Sapphire HD7870 OC model and having black screen issue, there has been a post here about it too which appears to have been resolved by a BIOS flash which boosts the voltage up on the OC versions.

My HD 7870 is not the cheapest by any means and is the only 7870 which does not have any type of heat dispersion for the RAM sinks and VRMs.
So far it has been going well.

So why not continue using the 560Ti? If its not powerful enough, then chances are, the 7850 will not be either.

He has the 560 non Ti. So it is a noticeable difference between the 7850 and his card.
Anyway, depends how much are you willing to spend. The 7870 is a good card for the money, better than the GTX660 at the same price point.

Good point, but either way just wait for the potential price cut when the 650Ti comes out.
