MechWarriorOnline (MWO)

Since the NDA has been lifted (confirmation here), who all has participated in the beta?
Maybe we can get a Clan TPU started or just get into a friendly grinding as PUGers

As always me = Bogmali

Almost signed up with the Black Widow Company but I like my freedom and will remain as a Lone Wolf.

I'm excited as heck for this, but haven't had the privilege of participating. One thing I've noticed watching the videos posted on their site is the lack of destructible environments. Is this still the case? It seemed funny watching mechs battle in the woods but the trees weren't effected at all.

That has not changed and I'm not sure if they will implement that feature.

I got invited after a long long time (0 activity on their website). Their patcher is horrible, it keeps crashing during the installation part and it downloads in parts. Cant leave it overnight too because of that... sigh

I think it looks neat and provided the price isn't batshit, and it provides a real level of control that is better than a keyboard, I'd be down for 1.

Razor doesn't sell anything cheap. I bet that controller will cost a pretty penny.

TBH the game plays awesome with KB/M. But if I had to buy a stick then I'd just grab a good HOTAS setup. I've been leaning towards the Thrustmaster Warthog myself. With mods it can be pretty fantastic.

BUT considering how well the KB/M works I might just stick with it.

At first I had my HunchBack set up for long range, but i think I like CQB better.

Chain-fire your weapons and you wouldn't have the overheat issue

Did the most recent patch bring an upgrade to the visuals? It's looked a bit to grey/washed out for me. Although, I haven't played much since getting in a few weeks back./
