Max budget? Video card? Games you play? Settings you prefer?

Do you know you can get a 27" IPS 2560x1600 Yamakasi Catleap for less than $100 more than that Dell U2312HM? It's actually only $56 more than Newegg's price on the Dell if you factor in shipping.

Even if you have to play at 1920x1080 until you get a more powerful GPU, it has a pretty tight pixel pitch even at 1080p.

MSI GTX 660TI Power Edition (it is really all i need... and more i guess)
i prefer Max settings.
games i play.... well my cousins friend has a ***GTX 560ti*** and he's getting *40 FPS* on *METRO 2033* high settings... im overwhelemd that a gtx 560 got 40 FPS on high.

so the games are:Battlefield, batman arkham city,CODMW3,fifa 13,minesweepers (i heard that the minesweepers game is a game that A GTX 690 got 20 Fps MAX.

No doubt the Dell U2312HM UltraSharp is the monitor to go with. One reason... It is IPS. Though if the choice was between the other two monitors I would still go with Dell as I've heard they have a good warranty and service with their monitors.

I own the S2330MX, and it is a great monitor. However, it only cost me $145.99 free ship no tax off Amazon, if I had the money for the Dell IPS one, I would have went with that, but it is a tad to pricey compared to what I paid for this one on a lightning deal.

I would either spend a bit more and get the U2412M for about $300 or less, because it's full 16x10 1920x1200. I personally have a couple and love them for editing.

I personally would recommend grabbing a korean IPS off ebay. The crossover 27q pivot edition is awesome. I just got my first one in. It's not quite as good as my U2711, but it's pretty damn close. I got it for $359 on ebay free shipping. Not bad.

I have the U2312HM and it is hands down the best monitor I've used. Excellent gaming performance and amazing color reproduction.

That is a decent monitor. I've tested one at fry's a while back. It's a cheaper E-IPS panel, but it's still superior to TN panels. DELL's service & warranty is superior to LG as well. Get the U2312HM if you need something in that price range, as some others have said.

There's actually two models of MSI 660 Ti PE, one at 941MHz core, the other better one that OCs higher and more consistently, at 1019MHz core. The higher OCed model has a higher binned chip. The 1019MHz version actually beats the ASUS 660 Ti TOP even with much lower clock settings, including when both are OCed to their max.

I wouldn't really advise 1440p with either of those cards unless you don't mind playing some games at 1080p (BF3 being one of them), which it does pretty well actually at .31mm pixel pitch.

The Catleaps (or Overlords) are good investments in case you end up with a more powerful GPU or SLI on down the road. Hell, I play at 1600x900 and less on my 32" TV all the time and it looks pretty good actually. It's all about balancing res, screen size and viewing distance appropriately.

from the 660ti's im talking about overclocked power edition.
i never really had an ASUS 7950 DCII my name is that because i liked it for a WHILE.
So what your saying is that a Msi Radeon 7950 Twin Frozr III is better than a GTX 660ti?
these benchmarks show otherwise: ( i like bf3) http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU12/400
