Radeon HD 7850 and HD 7770 Prices Could React to GTX 650 Ti Launch

Although not across the board, retailers are reportedly fine-tuning prices of Radeon HD 7850 and HD 7770, in anticipation of NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce GTX 650 Ti. Prices of the two SKUs could be re-adjusted to match or beat the price-performance ratio of GTX 650 Ti. According to a report, prices of Radeon HD 7850 1 GB could go down to US $159, Radeon HD 7850 2 GB to $189, and Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition to $119. It's quite possible that the launch price of GeForce GTX 650 Ti could be in the range of $139 to $149.

hmm the 7850 certainly seems good value for money these days. Very nice AMD. Here's hoping they go ahead and drop the prices.

$189 for a 7850 2GB ?!? well then, if this is true I have found my next gfx card rather than waiting and saving for a $250-300 card from EITHER company

I want a 7770.

EDIT: The cheapest 7770 now is the XFX 7770 Core, can be had for €118, the cheapest 7850 is €168. A sub €100 7770 would be sweeeeeeeet, but that'll probably never happen. :P

Wait I just saw the 7750 is €80, the same as a 6670.

The prices for the 7850 here are not much lower than some of the HD7870s and would be a good idea to lower the price of them.

Wow, that's telling... if that's the MSRP reference price it might not be as good as the GTX560Ti and that would be bad.

at stock it would be a bit slower than 6970 and a 100MHz OC would put them neck and neck...not a worth upgrade for you... wait for 8k series man, your card has plenty of power atm

Nah it would be balanced.

But I'd get something better if I had a 6670.

I agree with this.
Mainly due to making an obvious performance boost which will make you see the upgrade as very worthwhile.

This is coming from someone who was on a HD4850 512mb before up[grading to a 7870.
