Once again i need advise from you guys, i have a budget of 350>380 max for a new gpu
the msi gtx 660ti was my first choice but due to the problems commented i decided to look for another options.
id prefer green side but anything who performs nicely well on 1080p is welcome.
was thinking on

gigabyte gtx 660ti oc

or

galaxy gtx 660ti 3gb this doesnt cool some parts on the pcb, is there any problem on that?

Problems commented? The OC version of that card is only $290 after rebate right now at Newegg and not only the fastest 660 Ti tested at 1080p and under, it's getting pretty solid customer feedback. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/M...Power_Edition/

You don't need 3GB VRAM at 1080p or less either. MSI puts high grade capacitors, PCB, chokes, etc on that card, and unlike the vast majority of 600 series cards, it's unlocked for voltage OCing. Their 660 Ti PE OC is still averaging 5 eggs on Newegg after 108 reviews.

That said, if you're budgeting up to $380, that puts you in non reference cooled 670 range. So if you're considering ever going more than 1080p or multi monitor, that would be a good choice too. If not, I'd stick in the $300 range and put that $80 toward something else. Then again, I don't know what 380 translates to in Cuban money, or what pricing and availability you can get down there.

When it comes right down to it, MSI, ASUS, and Gigabyte have great cards in both models. In 660 Ti EVGA even has a new non reference air cooled model that I was waiting for reviews on. I got tired of EVGA's run around though. They first promised review samples were going out, then started making up excuses for not sending any, so I went with the MSI PE OC for $290 at Newegg. It's arriving tomorrow.

I have a Gigabyte Windforce 7950 3Gb card that I flashed with the Windforce 7970 bios from the TechPowerUp database (thanks guys!) using ATIFlash and it now runs at 1GHz default without any annoying software overclocking required (the card has a nice dual bios switch - something nVidia cards don't have).

I highly recommend this card. You can find it for around ~$300 and without the bios flashed overclock, it'll beat the GTX660 Ti handily in most games. With it, you can watch the GTX660 Ti vanish in your rear view mirror. The cooler is also very quiet and efficient. Running it at 1050MHz solid stable. Used the AMD overdrive slider right in the AMD driver for the extra 50MHz, as I haven't had the time to test if it'll go much higher yet.

ASUS DirectCU 660Ti? The ASUS DirectCU cards seem to be the cream of the crop these days, and their prices are about on par for other non-reference versions. The ASUS DirectCU 670 was the first product that I know of to get a 10 from W1z after all xD

the main let down for me personally with the 660Ti is the 192bit bus - its not a huge issue with current games but when i buy graphics cards i like them to last as long as possible to play games in the years to come.

This is why I am personally debating between Asus DC2/Gigabyte windforce gtx 670's vs 7950's right now.

If your budget can stretch to these cards ur rig will thank you when the latest titles of 2013/14 hit the shelves.

yes 380 american dls, i ask my cousin in miami to buy me the card, im pretty aware of newegg reviews on the MSI gtx 660ti, coming from a gtx570 PEOC thats what i was looking 4
but overvolting news let me down on this one, my serious problem is the warranty, i will have problems sending back my card if it gets broke.
i havent bought anything yet in newegg, does they included tax in their prices?
cuz im looking right now at the gigabyte gtx 670 at $399.
in Compusa is at the same price but they add $37 more, final price $437.
