Quickest way to fully clean a desktop.

I just cleaned out my rig today since I already had to go into it to replace a HDD with a bad bearing. I used a damp paper towel, a can of air, and my lungs.

BTW, this is what happens when a bearing in your HDD fails. XD

I saw this selling at 50$ on e-bay sometimes and local store for used stuff wanted it for 50$ also. So i sold him the Q6600 and a Rocketfish 120mm discontinued product. Seems a good deal for both of us.

i use an electric air duster though so i dont have to buy air cans

It's real as the own life. I've destroyed a motherboard by that. It was fine before. I didn't touched anything more during the operation. Took the correct ESD procedures. So I know that it's not a myth nor paranoia.

Static is also caused by the powerful air flowing through the hose, not only the motor nor the grounding. A small battery powered one is more suitable besides don't having mains connection and shorter hose is less powerful = less ESD than a regular mains one.

Get the GF/spouse to buy a blusher for your PC.
Or just steal one from her which isn't used.

By the time you have used it, she won't want it back.
Sure there maybe some whining but at least you will have a very good dust remover for your PC.

I used one of these to clean HS fins without taking it out and was good.

I found out I can go up to a Celeron T3500, basically an old core 2, but i'll drop in a T3300 since they're cheaper, 4gb ram, and an ssd should do

A brush which usually women use to add blush to their cheeks.

Very best thing to start off with is having filters on all intake fans. Saves a huge amount of work, you only have to clean the filters once a month. If you do need to clean inside, a combination of toothbrushes and artist's detail brushes , really do the job. I've had to clean smoker's computers, and resorted to soaking hs arrays in commercial degreaser. All kinds of ways to clean... but filters are the start, and you can buy and add them to existing cases.

Negative air pressure in the case is also supposed to help reduce the collection of dust.
From my experience I have to agree.
I have had a case which had two intakes and one exhaust which easily clogged up with dust.

Actually you want slight positive pressure to reduce dust buildup. Negative pressure is what sucks dust in through the crevices in the case.

Think of it as having sightly more intake than exhaust fans. PSU fans are counted as exhaust if they have no bottom vent, or neither intake nor exhaust if they do have one, since it would then act as both.

You can also vary airflow via fan speed controllers, though you can only expect to use them to go from negative pressure to slightly positive if the intake to exhaust ratio is already pretty close.

Most cases come from the factory with negative pressure. Often times adding a fan or two to the side panel can push them toward being slightly positive though.

One thing that can make tuning case pressure a LOT easier is if the manufacturer provides CFM ratings on the fans it uses.

Intake = positive pressure since you put presure inside the case.
Exhaust = negative pressure since you remove pressure from the case.

Same thing as in car engines with the air inlet and vacuum port on the intake.

Nope he's right on this one.

When the pressure is negative (more exhaust air than intake), air and dust floating are forced to enter the case by the holes, and vents of it, even trough the DVD drive (pressure equilibrium) thus dust accumulates more evenly inside & difficult to filter.

When it's possitive (more intake air than exhaust), dust only enters from the fan ports, and is more easily filtered.
