Tune in and Turn It up with Tumi x Monster Headphones
Tumi, the leading international brand of premium travel, business and lifestyle accessories, is pleased to announce a partnership with Monster, the world leader in high-performance premium headphones. Launching in November 2012, the Tumi x Monster collaboration will provide today's professionals with a special edition of Monster's high-definition, advanced noise-cancelling Inspiration headphones that combine Monster's Pure Monster Sound with Tumi's unparalleled style and design. Thanks to the combined expertise of these two pioneering companies, Tumi x Monster headphones will deliver the ultimate listening experience for audiophiles and travelers alike.
![]() Tumi continues to put the traveler first. Addressing the needs of the individual--comfort, compactness and tranquility--the Tumi x Monster headphones deliver on all counts. Pillow soft, over-the-ear cushions provide an extra sense of comfort for both everyday commutes and long-distance travel. Creating the ultimate calming experience, Monster lends its high-performance audio technologies for the most immersive and dynamic music-listening environment available today. The over-the-ear cushions lock in this sound, shielding exterior noise and inducing a relaxed and comfortable personal audio experience. Tumi's innovative designs are amplified through the use of the brand's iconic elements. A set of interchangeable bands accompanies each pair of headphones. Utilizing Tumi's signature materials, the headband options include black ballistic nylon, black nappa leather and dark brown leather. Inspiration's unique interchangeable headbands provide consumers with freedom of expression and a high sense of customizable style. When not in use, the headphones can be folded and stored into a compact case made from Tumi's ballistic nylon material. The case infuses the same design elements found in its core line including the Tumi logo, interior lining and iconic zipper pulls. An easy clip closure on the case's handle allows the user to effortlessly connect the case onto their bags. The new headphones feature Monster's most advanced noise-cancelling technology, which virtually eliminates sustained pervasive airplane noise and intense percussive sounds. Users are able to listen to the headphones with the Active Noise Cancellation turned OFF when they prefer. The Tumi x Monster headphones will be available at Tumi stores worldwide and tumi.com for $395. |

Anything that markets themselves as "lifestyle" should not be that expensive.
Would you rather have Enthusiast headphones or Lifestyle headphones at $400? The answer is enthusiast. For everyone. This is not opinion.

Monster Turbines are pretty well received, I don't know why the hate against Monsters, especially when I have not seen any reviews of the earphones. |

Monster has a reputation for being overpriced for what you get, so I am a tad leery of these, as they remind me of the beats line of products which are widely accepted as garbage. However I am looking for a replacement for my bose, so I am intrigued, is there any chance of a review here on TPU perhaps. |

I simply stated a fact and that is that Monster sell expensive stuff that isn't always worth the price, not that everything they make is crap! Hypersensitive much ? ![]() I also said that I would be interested in seeing how these perform. And for the record apples hardware does suck, below meadiocer quality for batshit prices.

![]() Bose suffers the same problem with Monster, Apple et al: they are overpriced for what they provide. It doesn't mean they sell shit stuff, their products are at least competent if priced correctly (50%?). Don't expect much from these, at $395 there are a lot of good sound isolating/ANC cans out there which are really really good. |
