This is one of the most expensive 750W power supplies at its base price. The reduction just makes it within mainstream pricing, and reviews arent exactly flattering.
Computer Hardware, Power Supplies, Power Supplies... 850W, slightly better reviews, $89. Then again, I'm not a fan of modular, they come unplugged too easily.

Good post! My SS-560KM gold seasonic X has been AMAZING. I am upgrading to a larger case, different watercooling and mobo. My power needs increased a lot so I ordered this 750W model for $99! Jaw dropped when I saw the newegg email and I let out a holly s**t as well haha. One heck of a deal. X series are amazing, in a load test the 560 I have was overdriven and was able to produce a clean 730W, of course efficiency dropped below the gold standard at that output but that is just sick.
I think my only complaint with seasonic is that they need to get with times. Stop using coathanger stiff wire (most manufacturers do so no biggie) and they need to go to all black wire like the AX supplies they build for corsair. Other than that, IMO cannot get a better supply than the gold and platinum series seasonic supplies. Last edited by Garage1217; Oct 24, 2012 at 03:56 AM. |

![]() And where are the unflattering reviews? Seasonic and specifically the gold and platinum series are some of if not the best PC power supplies built for mainstream use without exception. Last edited by Garage1217; Oct 24, 2012 at 04:00 AM. |

Ya tell me about it Garage1217! i think he might just be jealous just cuz look what 3870x2 is useing for a PSU a RAIDMAX yikes
Oh and BTW 3870x2 you can't go by random peoples reviews on a store site to know weather or not the product is good go check real reviews by real reviewing sites and you will see that this PSU and Seasonic them selfs is a very very solid manufactures Last edited by EiSFX; Oct 24, 2012 at 04:24 AM. |

I can't find better place to ask people from TPU and I don't want to open new topic.
I saw new cables for NEW Seasonic X-750 Gold. ![]() Can this cable work on older 750 Gold ??? Maybe is best way if someone want to try on some good Extreme configuration and tell me results... .

I'm not a fan of modular?
Quote:
Huh? What?? Never in all my days have I seen a plug unplug all by itself. rofl. I love full modular power supplies, love them. You might want to get rid of your Raidmax power supply, there is zero comparison to a quality power supply like Seasonic. Especially if your Raidmax plugs un-plug all by themselves. ![]() Seasonic makes very high quality power supplies and this is a HOT deal. I just ordered one myself just to toss on a shelf for a future project. JETSTER...thanks for the link. Last edited by Raw; Jan 6, 2013 at 11:52 AM. |

RAW you hit exactly why I ask for cables...
I just thought to write No I didn't try to sleeve cables, when I touch PCI-E cables close to graphic card suddenly I lose picture on monitor and graphic card start to spin 100% speed. Than I have sometimes problem to get pictures. That was before more than 6 months, I have other PSU in PC now but X-750 is expensive and I want working cables for them too. Both PCI-E cables are problem. But I thought that is conncector on graphic card, in one moment I was ready to ask for RMA. Than I get NEX1500 and I see cables not move and graphic card not lose power. But I want working cables and for other reserve PSU. Last edited by Vlada011; Jan 6, 2013 at 12:21 PM. |

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory5&reid=192 From arguably the best reviewer on the web, its darn near perfect. ![]() And + 1 on cables becoming unplugged. If they are plugged in properly, they dont come out, period. That would be user error not plugging them in until they click/clip. And yeah he better hope that RaidMax PSU he has is actually one of the (rare) good ones... They are usually crap. |

What, click... Maybe that is you experience but I can remove PCI-E cable side for graphic card with 2 fingers. No click at all. In PSU side is OK it's very hard to remove and you hear click it's very tight only other side. I know to connect PSU because with other and previous can't remove that cable. I thought that is graphic card connector problem but than I try few other things with molex and other PSU and with everything is like NEW.

Thread should be closed. Newer post(s) should have been directed to a new thread in General Hardware.
