Windows 7 UAC issue in my netbook

Sometimes when the UAC message pops up the netbook screen shuts off for some seconds then comes up again as if the resolution was changed, sometimes after clicking yes too. It's annoying.

All drivers and Windows 7 are updated. Is there a fix for this without disabling UAC?

Thanks

are you using the native reso?
why don't you want to disable UAC?

Yes I am using the native resolution (1024x600).

Due to safety reasons as I don't run Antivirus here to avoid slowdowns.

run AV for avoiding something worse, its much better than you lose all your data or apps coz of viruses

if you dont want to run UAC just turn it off

You can set UAC so that it doesn't darken the screen. Look at this link

Make User Account Control (UAC) Stop Blacking Out the Screen

Thanks to all.

@Micropage. Yeah, but in a netbook w/ 1 GB RAM an resident AV may be too overkill here so I run scans but not resident
Maybe I will turn it off...

@Ron732
The problem isn't the dimming of the desktop, but I will disable it just in case has something to do. My problem is that, before UAC popup appears the netbook entire screen turns off for a second as if the resolution was changing. This doesn't happen on my desktop.
I get the same when switching users or logging off. But in this case it occurs on my desktop too.
