Generally new firmware is making sequential read transfers higher but some users were complaining for lower random write transfers and slower access time for writes.
In my case sequential read on single drive is higher but all other transfers are almost the same +/- 1-3%. When I set raid then some results are worse than on 0002 firmware and sequential read is about 20MB/s higher in ATTO or AS-SSD. It's only on AMD controller but maybe it's working better on Intel that I didn't check. So max sequential transfers in ATTO I are about: Single drive - 560/115 MB/s RAID0 - 750/235 MB/s on 0002 was: Single drive 460/115 MB/s RAID0 - 720/235 MB/s it's for 2x M4 64GB on AMD SB950 Last edited by Woomack; Sep 1, 2011 at 07:37 AM. |
