Games seem to working good now.. The extra overclock on the AMP edition seems to have a difference of ~5 frames in games.
yeah interesting. Maybe it just needed proper reseat to apply correct pressure. Kind of looks like there wasn't enough TIM to begin with, but thats just me. Could have also dried up thus, not working how it should

That's stock speed for the i3 540...

I agree that he should get a larger PSU in the near future, however the i3 doesn't draw a whole lot, I wouldn't be surprised if the rig uses 175-200 watts up to 250-watts max. Consider for a moment that my i7 3820 and both 6870s fully loaded (plus everything else in the box,) is about 450-watts off the wall and that is overclocked on both GPUs and the CPU.

Yeah but I'd still go with a 500w of at least 30A, otherwise I'd be hesitant to want to OC the CPU and GPU much.

He doesn't have a 560Ti.

The 560 he has calls for a maximum card draw of 150w. As well as a 450w unit which his CX430 can quite easily put out since it is rated for 430w continuous.

Zotac includes the same rating for the power supply.

Why? What would you recommend for a system with a Xeon X3440@4.2ghz and a GTX 470? Even with a heavy OC and watercooling it runs on a FSP 450w with a single 36A 12V rail.

Yeah well I somehow thought it was a 560 Ti we were talking about. I'll bow out now. Too much on my mind to be chasing down who's said what right now.
