ZOTAC Low Profile GeForce GTX 650 Pictured
ZOTAC is close to launching a low-profile (albeit dual-slot) GeForce GTX 650 graphics card. Called the ZOTAC GTX 650 LP, the card features a GTX 650 GPU, 1 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit wide memory interface, uncompromised (in fact, overclocked) clock speeds of 1071 MHz core, with 5.00 GHz memory. The card uses a dual-slot fan-heatsink that features a 50 mm high-sweep fan nested inside a monolithic aluminum heatsink. The card relies on the PCI-Express bus for power, display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI-I, HDMI 1.4a, and D-Sub.

Now that's something I COULD be interested in. If only these where crossfire capable cards. Low profile Micro ATX system w/ 2 of these.

Zotac reminds me of this.
HeartBurn, Upset Stomach, Indigestion? Take Zotac and within 30 seconds all of that is gone. and Heres More it Even fixes the plumbing too ![]() Other than that it Looks like it takes up 2 Slots with that tall cooler. The card is short enough they could of just extended the heatsink back...

i usually hate these new graphics card releases with fancy things on a low end card, but this, this is good. Mighty useful for a business work machine (for media purposes) on a budget! I actually just ordered 4 Zotac 640's for the machines at work.

I prefer passive cooling.Personally,i'm stay away from Zotac low-ends since their fan prone to death within just couple months.

Interestingly no 6-pin, although that 1071MHz (1.3% OC)... big whoop! That just means they gave it a little more robust power section. But then to straddle it with that cheap dual slot extruded aluminum and fan is pretty crappy. For the TDP GTS650 are said provide... If a fan, it should be nice single design like the 7750 from VisionTek and PowerColor provie, while if dual slot I’d think a some dual H-P fin stacked style cooler could also be employed.
I say they "compromised" to much, or at least now need to compromise on the price and get it down to $90 -AR. As to the dual DVI's? Can this provide that through the HDMI with an adapter? |

Zotac needs to get in contact with Sandia... Imagine 2 50mm single slot Sandia coolers on that.

I know this is something I said many times, but it's still beyond my comprehension why these companies keep producing low profile noise-monsters years after years. It's just stupid. |

Where are the "a leading innovator" and "top quality" parts of the story when they realize useless bricks like these? I also wonder where on earth are they selling these things, and who is buying for what reason

Honestly...this is actually awesome. ive got a low profile linux box (optiplex 790) with a larger powersuplly installed. only issue: low profile gpus. amd's 7750 is good, but linux driver sucks massive sheist...and nvidia could only offer the gt 640, which was constantly slower. this is about as fast, and has nvidia's drivers backing it up.
edit: about as fast as the 7750, not the 640. |
