Which of these two versions of SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 is better?
I'm not exactly sure the difference between the two, besides that one has two DVI ports and the other has one DVI port.
Which one would you buy? SAPPHIRE FleX 100354FLEX Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition OC 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (11199-03-20G) Or do you have another suggestion for the price range of about $250 or less? UPDATE: Third choice: GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition ... Last edited by vawrvawerawe; Nov 12, 2012 at 03:33 AM. |

To answer your question they are more or less the same card with different display outputs.
I would get this one GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition ... Cheaper card.

But I will eventually be hooking up probably up to three screens. None have a displayport input, only dvi/vga/hdmi inputs (on the monitor). Considering this, do you still suggest to the the cheaper one? |

You're suggesting this one:
GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition ... But the link I have in the OP which is this, is overclocked: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition OC 2GB 256-bi... So which is better, the overclocked one or the one you recommended? p.s. you're right, it would be less hassle to forget about the $15 rebate and pay a total of $5 more... but I suppose the question here is which is better regarding performance since the price difference is negligent? Update: The one you suggested has a lot better reviews. I think I will go with that one. Last edited by vawrvawerawe; Nov 11, 2012 at 07:43 PM. |

So that is just a mere 50Mhz OC on the Sapphire ![]() On top of that the Gigabyte is clocked at 1100Mhz.
