Microsoft and GFWL D:

I'm having a problem with microsoft and games for windows live. I tried to access my microsoft account tonight but I'm not able to because its telling me that it does not recognize this computer. I'm on a new computer and no longer have access to my old PC. Its a safety messure to ensure your account doesn't get hacked. Anyway I've updated my information on the site and its now going to take 30 days before the new information is saved I suppose. In the meantime, none of my GFWL games will work on steam. F1 2010, Batman Arkham City, Fuel. Am I not able to play any of these games over the next 30 days because I got a new computer? I don't understand this....

I updated GFWL and all are working except batman now. Thanks anyway

Have you tried calling them? That's what I'd do.

On a side note GFWL sucks. It totally screws some of my games up. Bioshock 2 always crashes due to GFWL. And if you play it offline, you can't save.

I was caught with this issue and a fair few others.

After changing my secondary email address I waited out the month.

I was going to buy something, then was confronted with a message telling me to retrieve a code from my secondary email address which I had not used in over a year and was cancelled.
this happened out of the blue with no warning that I was know of.

Well fortunately I do have access to my 2nd email if I were to run into that problem. Seems kind of annoying I have to wait a month though...Why can't it just send an activation link to your 2nd email and then answer the security question to confirm your ID? They have to make it so difficult...Luckily I was able to get all my GFWL games to work again. I had to download GFWL client and run a quick update and fixed the games. Still have to wait a month to have full access though which sucks.

origin[INAL WAY TO STEAL FROM YOU],
uplay[WHILE WE RIPP YOU OFF], and
games for windows[WE LIE],

whats next? they are all chit ,i have to buy a game on steam, THEN DOWNLOAD UPLAY TOO WTFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just had steam "recover/DELETE=' ghost recon future soldier AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![14.5gb] today,
the second time iv'e downloaded it in a week due to there glitching now,[so its cost me 28gb of my i.t. data so far+ANOTHER 14.5GB TO REINSTALL AGAIN+ 2 DAYS] all due to some steam glitch, no fault of mine,

hadnt even finished playing it, , i'm getting real tired of all these crap drm gaming programs on my computer, seriously.

I don't care what excuses people make for them, they are all ABSOLUTE RUBBISH INVASIVE DRACONIAN HURDLE JUMPING DATA/money STEALING thieves, and im WAY pissed right now!!!

If it happens again........~"steaming turd steam"~~~ im gonna wipe it for good and just look for old titles from now on.im bloody over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND IM ABSOLUTELY FN ROPABLE RIGHT NOW, cant play my game tonite [FORGIVE MY ANGER PLS]

I have never had a problem with steam or origin. Although I do not like origin very much. Steam all the way.

Go to your Windows Live account online. Not to be confused with GWL. Log in and go to account settings. I believe its in the security section there is a list of "Trusted Computers". Delete them all and then validate the computer you want to play GWL on. This will fix your issue.

Well this is what I'm looking at right now. Its set to delete my old "associated account" on december 7th, and then add my new one on that same date. Hopefully then I will have access to my stuff.
