With the Lucid chip I can work in 16x / 16x / 16x. But the problem with the Lucid Hydralogix is that the manufacture Lucid has stopped the update of theires Hydra drivers...and now the most of the last PC games (like Medal of Honor Warfithter ) are not compatibles.

The Lucid chip adds some extra lanes in there. It will still work 16/16/16 or 16/16/8/8 if all slots are populated. Software has nothing to do with lane assignment that is a physical piece of hardware.

But now I found a small problem: I have 3 GTX460 and the 460 are only one connector to make SLI. This means that I cannot make 3 way SLI. Because the 3-way bridge has 2 connectors for each card. But the 2-way SLI has one connector for each card. The ideal would be to have a bridge with 3 connectors with only one for each graphics card. But this specially bridge unfortunately don't exist.

Cheap Gigabye mobo that only cost me 35 dollars crossfire only until this tweak
DXVA is more flawless than on Release Preview which was better than 7
Played some CS:GO I think 310.33 might actually be a little slower with my cards need more testing and tweaking to catch up to my RP install.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was even more fluid than it already was. Cleanest I have ever seen it.

Throw those into an admin elevated cmd prompt the first one of course removes the hibernate file. Windows 8 is slightly gimped because it reduces battery life for tables, but its utterly horrible on a desktop for gaming. I also disabled c-states and eist in the bios but I live hyperthreading enabled and disable hyperthreaded cores in process lasso only for the gaming process itself. Oh yeah disable core parking too.

the Lucid Chip is garbage, uninstall it. it will work in 16x/16x/16x with hyper sli





..btw i couldnt get it to work on windows 8 anyway.

Yes but with the Lucid, the 3-way SLI works without Bridge. And with the Hyper SLI, I need a Bridge. I have 3 GTX460 and with the 460 cards are only one connector to make the SLI. only other option is too use 2 in SLI with the bridge with hyper SLI and the third card would be for physx....my opinion is that it is better then 3 way Hydra. i was so sick of waiting for the new driver releases and it only worked on a few applications.

HyperSLI 0.96 and the new 310.54 beta driver working perfectly on Windows 8 Pro x64.

I didn't try it yet on Windows 7 though.

Technically, is it possible to install the hyper SLI without uninstall the Lucid driver (only by disabling the Lucid driver) ? Or is it imperative to uninstall the Lucid driver ? Have you tested ?

What is these drivers 310.54 ? Is it Nvidia drivers ? My original Nvidia drivers are the 306.97 WHQL. Where are you going to find the 310.54 ? Is it beta drivers ?

Still having issues here no bsod but when i try to play guild wars 2 i got a black screen and i get a flickering screen on battlefield bad company 2

Update: just for the fun of it i decided to test 310.33 and got the same results so i rolled back to 306.97 and sli works fine now with my cards

Yes you can re-enable once installed.

personally i couldn't get programs to auto start (like speedfan)in windows 8 unless it was disabled.

For your information, I have tried to install the hyper SLI 0.96 without to uninstall the Lucid HydraLogix driver of my Asus Crosshair IV Extreme. I have only disabled the Lucid Chip on the Lucid panel and after directly installed the Hyper SLI 0.96. That works perfectly !!! That is great !!!

My configuration is following:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Asus Crosshair IV Extreme
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
8GB G.Skill Flares F3-16000CL7Q-2GBFLS (4x2GB)
3 Graphics cards EVGA GTX460 FTW EE (2 in SLI and 1 in PhysX)

Unfortunately, I have a small problem. With the 3D games, the picture is in 3D but the led of my screen Asus VG278 don't work. With the screen Asus VG278 it is not necessary to have the kit 3D Vision 2 because the system is included in the screen VG278. And when the 3D Vision 2 System works, there are one green led on the screen. And now I have not the green led, and I cannot use the 3D vision 2 glasses because the 3D kit sytem of my sceen don't detect the 3D.

download version 9.6 and install (the way I did it) or delete 9 then install 9.6?

Just downloaded and installed the 310.54 drivers.
Ran a couple of games and benchmarks, no problems at bootup or with gameplay.

I have again tried to uninstall the Lucid driver, and after install the Hyper SLI driver. And now the 3D Vision 2 works perfectly with my screen Asus VG278. The uninstallation of the Lucid driver was the best solution. Thank you very much an Jesseleite and Cdawall !
