When will they stop adding useless PCI slot on a 2012+ boards. Why not add AGP as well, just in case. And ISA as well. Geez.

LPT Port? Com port?

welcome to 1999 - on a mATX board there isn't space for stuff that you don't ever need!

PCI didn't make any sense even back in the days when i bought ASUS Rampage II Gene. It's just wasting space. Same for the IDE connector. I mean if you had the money to buy Rampage II Gene and pricy LGA1366 CPU and 3 sticks of RAM, you most probably weren't using IDE HDD's even back then right?

They kept IDE primarily for DVD drives. I have like 6 IDE based DVD drives laying around.

You can already get a better Gigabyte A85 mATX motherboard with a larger PCB,8 SATA3.0 ports and 4 RAM slots for around £60:

We don't get much native PCI sound cards (most of the PCIe ones are just modified from PCI).

Is VRM cooling any use or its just for aesthetics?

I still use PCI wireless cards so for people like me, it would make sense.

VRM cooling only comes into effect in seriously high end overclocking. I've had plenty of boards without it OC just fine.
