Do like. As long as the structure has a metal body or skeleton, I might think about buying this for my laptop as my zalman nc2000 is getting on after a few years of good service.

I am a noob as I do not own one of these. But having all laptops tiny "air-in" apertures and low air displacement inside... Aren't these "apparatus" filled up with fans totally useles, being enough a simple elevation of the laptop in order to let air circulate?

Fighting legends day in day out!

I think they help just a bit, at least dispersing the heat around the laptop.

If your laptop has that much of a problem with heat.........

I have never had a laptop fail from heat, and I have 12 including mine now that are running.

So far most have been replaced as they are too slow, some die from vibration killing connectors, some die from drops and spills, and one the hard drive died in. The rest get stripped and tossed after about 4-5 years.

Although Deep cool: cheap, reasonably quiet, not much air-flow, but for this money, that's it. Still better than nothing.

I have a gaming laptop that has a 6850 and an i7 2630QM. HP thought it would be a great idea to put this in a thin form-factor. I now own a powerful super-massive deathblade that overheats religiously.

Great laptop though.

No laptop should require that much cooling unless it is poorly designed, my g75 with a 660m and i7 3610QM has no trouble with heat even when playing Crysis 2 for hours.

I guess it would've been better if they used four 120mm fans so in any case 1 fan dies or becomes noisy it would be easier to find a replacement...
